Ascential plc this morning issued a statement that its sale of Hudson MX is "ongoing with multiple parties," but did not disclose further details, including when it expects a sale to be concluded.

"The company will provide a further update at or before its forthcoming half year results announcement," the statement reads.

Ascential currently does not have a first half results announcement date scheduled on its financial calendar, but last year's first half results were announced Sept. 22, 2023, and other recent years have been announced as early as July.

Originally, Ascential told shareholders it expected the sale of Hudson MX, an agency technology startup that competes with Mediaocean, would be completed by the end of the first half of 2024.

According to executives familiar with the bidding process, Ascential completed presentations to three potential suitors in late April, and that Mediaocean is among them.
