Boone And Carpenter Split Up, Sell Shares In Newsrooms To Each Other

Boone Newsmedia, Inc., (BNI) and Carpenter Media Group (CMG) are ending their joint ownership of several newsrooms. 

CMG has acquired BNI’s interests in:

  • Bainbridge (Georgia) Media, publisher of The Post-Searchlight
  • Brookhaven (Mississippi) Newsmedia, publisher of The Daily Leader
  • Elizabethton (Tennessee) Newsmedia, publisher of Elizabethton Star
  • Frankfort (Kentucky) Newsmedia, publisher of The State Journal
  • Oxford (Mississippi) Newsmedia, publisher of The Oxford Eagle
  • Tryon (North Carolina) Newsmedia, publisher of Daily Bulletin
In turn, BNI has acquired CMG's interest in:
  • Tidewater (Virginia) Publications, publisher of The Tidewater News
  • Washington (North Carolina) Newsmedia, publisher of Washington Daily News

In addition, CMG acquired the Ironton (Ohio) Tribune and related print and digital publications from BNI.

Terms of the transactions were not disclosed.
