A "delightful" terraced cottage in a "sought after" seaside town has sold for well above its estimate at auction.
After being owned by the same family for decades, people had "an unmissable opportunity" to bid for a "charming" two-bed cottage.
The terraced house at 8 Mill Lane in Southwold, Suffolk went under the hammer as part of a national auction.
Marketed by Auction House National, the "charming terraced cottage situated between the town centre and common" was bid for during an online auction.
It was set to be sold on a freehold tenure with a guide price of £230,000 to £250,000 plus fees.
The property description from the auctioneers said: "The property's compact accommodation currently offers two bedrooms but as the bathroom is attached to the far side of the neighbouring property and only accessed externally the purchaser may wish to convert one of them.
"Offering tremendous potential as a holiday let, Airbnb or simply as a forever home we believe this to be an unmissable opportunity which is priced particularly competitively for the auction market."
After the auction, a spokesman for Auction House National said the cottage had sold for £301,000.
