Delta has signed an agreement to contribute operational data to the International Air Transport Association (IATA) CO2 Connect emissions calculator, providing our cargo customers with greater transparency about the environmental impact of air cargo. Using real operational data from Delta’s 4,000 daily flights, customers can quantify their emissions based on actual data, instead of modeled averages. This data will help our customers make informed decisions about how to measure and manage their carbon footprint. With over 40 airlines participating, CO2 Connect supports alignment across the industry and helps airlines more effectively advocate for decarbonization efforts that are critical on Delta’s journey to net zero CO2 emissions by 2050.
