Milestones & Future Visions

As we begin to find our momentum at Hyundai Capital America in this new year, I find it important to reflect on 2023 and thoughtfully look forward to 2024. Last year held many exciting achievements that have laid the foundation for new opportunities, innovative ideas, and growth. While there are too many milestones and initiatives from this past year to mention them all, some highlights include:

Financial: HCA hit a key milestone with our portfolio reaching over $58 billion in assets – an incredible testament to the quality of financial services we deliver for our customers, dealer partners, and OEMs. HCA is proud to have closed the year with the second largest auto origination volume in the US.   

However, starting in 2023 our portfolio goes beyond consumer vehicle loans and leases, it has grown to include new business segments such as a vehicle subscription program, Evolve+, zero-emission hydrogen trucks, and robots. We also enjoyed healthy growth within our dealer finance business and explored new partnerships with HMG affiliates, challenging what is possible in the future space of mobility services.

Operational: This past year we continued working towards operational excellence and digitalization, and we are honored to have received Auto Finance News’ Operational Excellence Award. This recognition reaffirms our commitment to experience-focused approaches that identify and deliver on the evolving needs of our customers, dealer partners, OEMs, and the communities we serve. This achievement doesn’t mean our work is done – It means we have a strong foundation to continue elevating and optimizing our operations to efficiently provide high-quality service.

Customer Care: We’re putting customers in the driver seat of their vehicle financing with improved user interfaces that build a more trusted experience. With redesigned websites and customer portals, added security features, and other retail options, customers can take control with 24/7 online access for any of their account needs. From online applications, insurance options, lease-end overviews, title services, and more – customer experience and satisfaction is always HCA’s top priority.

Team Member Engagement: HCA is powered by the diversity and innovative ideas of our team members, it’s why we prioritize building a connected and inclusive culture that empowers our team members to learn, grow, and innovate. In 2023, we became a Certified Great Place To Work and we’re excited to continue supporting a culture that promotes collaboration, embraces change, values talent, rewards performance, and fosters career growth and development. As we look ahead at 2024, we will continue to support an environment encouraging personal and professional growth, new ideas, and connection. It’s what makes us Better Together.

Community Engagement: We believe in supporting and giving back to communities where we live and work. In 2023, we launched VTO (Volunteer Time Off), a dedicated 8 hours of paid time off for team members to support a charitable organization of their choosing and we’re excited to see team members support organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Covenant House, OC Animal Care, Northwest Texans Athletic Booster Club, and so many more. Additionally, when team members use their 8 VTO hours, we will continue to provide a monetary donation to their selected organization – over 60 organizations received donations from HCA in 2023 because of our team member’s support. Our executives will also continue to serve on the boards of organizations such as the Boys & Girls Club, CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates), Child Creativity Lab, Girls of Excellence, Susan G. Komen, and more.

I look forward to strengthening the impact we can drive in our communities and empowering our team members to support the causes that matter most to them.

It’s an exciting time to be part of the Hyundai Capital family and I look forward to embracing the opportunities of 2024 with the goal of strengthening our relationships with our customers, dealers, OEMs, team members, and the communities we serve.
