It is the best ideea of the year, I support this campaign and I recommend to the leaders in another organization to check over other departments duties, because it can be helpful to understand the whole company running process by the first step till the end. Also leaders must know why the production, warehouse, pickers can have difficulties or delays. If they just sit in their chairs and don't wish to get involved then they never see what is happening through different departaments. Be brave to support this project in the future! Implementing changes, product improvements or service upgrades will result in increased revenue, but the most important result will be the satisfied customer.

We try to know everyone's name in our 200-person company. For some, this might not be realistic so maybe it's best to get to know everyone in your department first. If you're an executive in a company with a couple hundred people, you should know every person's name because you're paying them. Many higher-ups don't realize how far it would go within their own company if they were just more available and visible. One simple strategy to create connection is to not always park on the same side of the building each day so you must take a different route to your office. We do this so we have to walk through a different part of the race shop and interact with people beyond just the pit crew department. One day we'll walk through the assembly area, the next the fab shop, the next day the truck bay, and so on. If you're the president of a company and you have five conversations with five different people every day, it would only take fifty days to foster 250 unique relationships. The beauty of this, too, is that when you make it a priority to get to know people, you will find yourself thanking them and serving them. It brings humanity back into the workplace. I wanted to highlight one of my Executives, Claudia Lechado . I was observing her run our trailer today, and I just had a proud moment. We hired Claudia for my Small Format store a few years ago as the Food & Beverage Team Leader. We had to learn each other, and our leadership styles. One thing I always appreciated about her was that she knew how to provide feedback, but she always took feedback and was accountable when it was warranted. She ran an amazing department, and developed a passionate team. When I left Coral Gables and took this assignment, I learned the Executive for General Merchandise & Food recently resigned. I knew I needed a leader that would be a fighter, and could make things happen. I immediately thought of Claudia- and shortly after she promoted and joined the team. It was painful at times, as she would agree. It still has its challenging days. However, fast forward a year and a half. Claudia is getting trailers done in record times. Backrooms are almost fully categorized. Her digital performance is the best in our market, and at times the top percentile in the group. Brand is consistent every single morning, Food is winning over our guest in the neighborhood with double digit comps exploding past the competition, and now she’s layering on things like liability 100% out of the backroom every week, while ehancing our workload execution through her GM Team Leaders new ownership. My dream is to turn a store around to eventually run on auto pilot. With the right leaders, it’s possible. I think a big takeaway for Claudia is that everything is possible by having the right TEAM & structure. Keep it up Claudia. Poppulo’s SKO is officially a wrap! There is nothing more motivating than gathering together to align on our strategies for the upcoming year and celebrate the successes of the last. This year, with it being in person, seeing people IRL and being a part of a growing global footprint left me with some thoughts: - In person engagements are not going away. - Communications are more important than ever. - Transparency and consistent engagement with your team in all forums lends itself to a more engaged and educated workforce. - The impact that you can drive with one communication channel is always outdone by meeting folks where they are at and continuing to drive a message home through multiple channels. - We do some cool stuff for employees, leaders, companies, travelers and guests!
