It will be interesting to see what “synergies” can be gained from two very different operations, of two very different deposit types, on two different continents - other than the usual “discounts for volume” type procurement gains. I would have thought each was large enough in their own right to be able to push for good terms on supply and service contracts. Intriguing!

People who were involved in the recent unrest in Port Moresby should have been apprehended for their involvement in criminal activities such as break-ins, looting, and theft of property. It is essential for law enforcement agencies to perform their duties diligently to restore public and investor confidence. The individuals who pretended to volunteer to return stolen items should have been arrested, as they were likely part of the looting and criminal behavior. The fact that these items were stolen in the first place raises questions about the effectiveness of our law enforcement system. It is disheartening to see taxpayer money, time, and resources wasted on an exercise that may not yield the desired results. Rather than blaming authorities for the protests, riots, and looting, the government should focus on addressing the root causes of these issues. My thoughts are with the affected business owners who have suffered immensely.
