I am pleased to share with you our latest publication “The influence of Adaptive Cruise Control, secondary tasks and route familiarity on driving behavior: a simulation-based study”. In the context of an increasing interest towards the safe introduction of technologies that can help human drivers while performing their driving tasks in the ordinary traffic, the proposed work provides a contribution, investigating safety-related aspects of assisted vehicles in a simulated environment, by considering other driving behavioral parameters. In particular, the influence of Adaptive Cruise Control, combined with driver distraction and route familiarity, on the driving behavior was investigated using a driving simulator. Qwen2, A new SoTA open weights LLM. Llama 3 was released in April, and we have multiple better models in almost all evals. It's not easy to justify the cost of training these LLMs nowadays, given that it will take days or weeks before another model dethrones yours. Interesting times! #LLM

I'm very proud of a lot of people on several teams for this month's ForeFlight release. We added support for TOLD card, and perhaps more importantly, a ground-up rework of how landing factors are applied, as it continues to be a challenging topic for pilots. Proper landing factor use spanning different certification requirements and AFM implementations has been an interesting challenge. I believe the workflow and options we provide will give pilots improved confidence in selecting correct landing factors when calculating landing distances, either in a dispatch phase of flight, or the inflight phase of flight to assess landing distance at time of arrival. https://lnkd.in/g_KfXFpG
