How are hospitals adjusting to recent federal announcements about using #340B at new child sites? Learn more on #340BInsight: bit.ly/3IRpGLj A #healthsystem pharmacist spoke to us about his system’s experience and offered advice for hospitals in similar situations. Last year, Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSAgov), HHS reverted to its earlier policy on registering child sites before using 340B drugs at those locations. That process can take up to nearly two years to complete. More than 40 health systems are suing HRSA over the registration requirements, which they allege will cost them billions in lost savings. #Protect340B

Healthcare Advocate | Burnout Survivor Turned Thriver | Travel Health Coach | Writer | Speaker | Pharmacist | Empowering clients to OPTIMIZE their HEALTH & DEMYSTIFY the healthcare system
"Distrust, then verify”—quote by a family member feeling dismissed & mistreated by their care partners. ➡️ A missed diagnosis. ➡️ Deferred blame. ➡️ Specialist after Specialist. I do what I can to support them as they rebuild trust with their team. ✅ I attend medical appointments. ✅ We request longer appointments when needed. ✅ An extra chair is placed in the exam room so I can take notes, ask questions, and ask for clarification if needed. ✅ I review providers' notes in the medical record. ✅ If the family has a question about a treatment, I find the notes & evidence and then compare the decision to current treatment guidelines. If needed, I'll draft memos (reviewed by the client before sending) requesting clarification or risk-to-benefit analysis. While I wish they had received the appropriate quality care they deserved from the beginning, being part of their healthcare family is an honor, and I do what I can to reestablish trust so they can find peace. Social Security may schedule an appointment with their doctors if they lack sufficient information for your claim. These exams, while at their expense and intended to fill in the gaps in your medical record, do not always result in a fair and thorough assessment. Having a complete medical record with consistent treatment and testing for all of your conditions will help avoid the need for these exams. If you need to schedule, cancel, or reschedule one of these appointments, visit https://lnkd.in/gja6Tm7D. #RooseAndRessler #MoreThanANumber #SocialSecurityDisability #WoosterLawyers #ToledoLawyers #MansfieldLawyers #LorainLawyers #TopOhioLawFirms #OhioSocialSecurityDisabilityLawyers
