#Part2 My message to the #Students In our ongoing conversation about aligning with industry expectations, it’s crucial to understand the significance of becoming 'T-Shaped' professionals in today's competitive landscape. The vertical bar of the 'T' represents our deep, specialized knowledge in a core area, while the horizontal bar emphasizes the importance of possessing a broad set of skills that enable collaboration across disciplines. As we navigate through our educational journeys, the stark reality that faces many graduates today is a disconnect between academic achievements and industry readiness. Reports indicate that while thousands of students graduate annually, a mere fraction feel genuinely prepared for the challenges and demands of the modern workplace. This gap underscores the imperative for us to not only pursue academic excellence but to strategically enhance our skill sets in alignment with market needs. As part of this series aimed at guiding students towards industry relevance, it is imperative to underscore the importance of deliberate and informed choices in our educational pursuits. Let this message serve as a catalyst for reflection and action to make right decisions. ---- #industryskills #industryready #graduaterecruitment #skills #skillsdevelopment #hr #humanresource
