The Hexa Lift from Lift Aircraft is a game-changer in personal aviation. It’s a single-seater drone that anyone can learn to fly in just under an hour, thanks to its semi-autonomous piloting system and smart flight control computers. Powered by 18 independent propellers, the drone is designed to be incredibly easy to handle, offering a smooth and controlled flight experience. Safety is a top priority, with features like multiple battery packs, cushioning for hard landings, and an autonomous ballistic parachute, making it as safe as it is efficient. But what’s really exciting is the potential for these drones to transform urban mobility, especially in traffic-heavy cities like those in India. Imagine bypassing congested streets entirely and soaring above the gridlock. InterGlobe Enterprises, the parent company of Indigo, is already planning to launch an all-electric air taxi service in India by 2026. Their vision? Flying from Delhi to Gurugram in just 7 minutes, for an estimated cost of ₹2-3K a fraction of the time it currently takes by road. The prospect of flying taxis seems closer than ever, but it raises important questions about infrastructure, regulation, and safety. Will air taxis and drones like Hexa Lift redefine urban transport, or are there challenges ahead that could slow down adoption? What are your thoughts on the future of air mobility? #UrbanMobility #AirTaxis #FlyingDrones #Innovation #Transportation #Entrepreneurship #LinkedIn

🔎 Meet our portfolio companies - today: HHLA Sky GmbH (BUILD) Drones are constantly opening up new possibilities for optimising industrial processes. Particularly when being part of an effectively designed automation solution. To make drones fly automatically almost at the push of the button, our portfolio company HHLA Sky GmbH has introduced a sophisticated system: a mobile robot management system that simultaneously controls more than 100 drones in the air - at different locations and without a human operator on-site (BVLOS). These automated drones can proceed a huge variety of tasks such as inspecting the giant container gantry cranes in the Port of Hamburg, monitoring traffic jam in the city or delivering medical goods in an emergency faster than ever. HHLA Sky has automated not only the remote (BVLOS) controlled flying, but the entire process chain essential to drone operations on an industrial scale. Their Integrated Control Center manages everything – from planning routes and flight requests from other systems such as SAP, to automated flights, real-time data stream transmission, reporting and drone maintenance. Even more: Incorporated mobile ground robots can autonomously handle air cargo from the drone and transport it to the production hall. However, some human support is still required, as each of these steps is monitored by our colleagues who can intervene at any time. ➡️ Follow HHLA Sky GmbH for more information. #HHLANext #HHLASky #startups #innovation #digitization
