ORIGINALLUXURY had the honor of being invited to speak at the Rapaport SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY CONFERENCE on Sunday, 2 June 2024 during the JCK conference in Las Vegas.
🙏 We extend our heartfelt thanks to Martin Rapaport and the entire Rapaport Group for organizing and moderating a lively and thought-provoking discussion with industry leaders.
During the Round Table Discussion, we delved into some of the most pressing topics in our industry:

Reflecting on our journey from the Luxottica POC and first board meeting at MBS to the Accelerating Asia Ventures program and this recent event at Villaggio Italia during the Tour Vespucci, I’m incredibly proud of how far Ulisse (Lanp) has come. Thanks to ITA - Italian Trade Agency - Singapore and the Global Startup Program, we’ve not only grown but shared our evolution on a global stage, with Singapore becoming a key launchpad.
This event also highlighted a positive shift in Italy’s approach to startups—focused on better capital access, legislative streamlining, and international collaboration, especially with strategic regions like Singapore. It’s exciting to see partnerships between our countries grow, particularly in sectors like manufacturing, semiconductors, and defense, while enhancing startup ecosystems to attract investments both ways. For entrepreneurs like me, who left Italy seeking faster ecosystems, it’s inspiring to see Italy’s steady progress in supporting startups with a more business-oriented political class. Here’s to a bright future for Italian innovation worldwide.

Safer, more environmentally friendly, better, easier. That is what we strive for and we do that together. Perhaps that is one of our greatest motivations, that we do it together. Individually, you can’t achieve a thing. Together we can make a great difference.
Where hard work is done every day to put SCHMITS chemical solutions further on the map, it is at least as important to take a moment to reflect on major milestones. And that is why last weekend, the personnel of Schmits celebrated its 50th anniversary together in the great city of Rotterdam.
A logical choice, given the famous Port of Rotterdam and its pivotal role in chemistry. And more so because the city, by reinventing itself, has remained more relevant than ever.
A wonderful program was put together under the professional guidance of Tendolle Events. From an exciting Teambooster assignment to a spectacular drag race on the river Maas, the weekend was more than successful. Thank you, Carel ten Dolle and your team!
We also thank our personnel for contributing with so much energy and enthusiasm on a daily basis. At the end of last weekend, the energy may have run out a bit, but your enthusiasm was clearly visible the entire time! 💚
