Ukraine is the first country in the world to establish the Unmanned Systems Forces: an entirely new branch of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which includes the use of aerial, naval surface and underwater, as well as ground-based unmanned and robotic systems. The full-scale war has confirmed that UAVs, loitering munitions, and naval drones can become one of the game changers that bring us closer to victory. They enable us to conduct military operations, monitor the enemy, and destroy them without endangering the most important asset in the country – our people. We are proud that "Furia" has been proving this effectively since 2014. We, in turn, are not standing still and are already preparing new surprises for the enemy. #UAS #UAV #AthlonAvia #Furia #unmannedsystems #drones

Ai halves the time needed to identify hard-to-find mines for the US Navy. The U.S. Navy uses AI-equipped underwater drones to scan for threats, including mines and submarines. Autonomous drones can navigate and map ocean floors, identifying potential hazards more efficiently than traditional methods. AI allows drones to process vast amounts of data, enhancing their ability to detect and classify underwater objects. This advancement in naval technology aims to improve maritime security and operational effectiveness. https://lnkd.in/gJBke65j

At the AFCEA West conference, Admiral Sam Paparo, head of the U.S. Pacific Fleet, highlighted the strategic discretion behind the U.S. Navy's experiments with unmanned systems in the Pacific, aiming to keep advancements concealed from potential adversaries. The fleet is gearing up for Integrated Battle Problem 24.1 to further explore these capabilities, including standing up a second Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) squadron. The Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) is actively developing prototypes for underwater drones and surface vessels to address specific Indo-Pacific Command (INDOPACOM) challenges, such as deterring China from attacking Taiwan, with a focus on deploying large numbers of drone systems for sea denial without risking human lives. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to leverage new digital tools and AI within the Joint Fires Network to enhance target data delivery speed and efficiency. However, integrating drones on a large scale presents logistical challenges that the Pacific Fleet must navigate, from deployment to sustainment, highlighting the ongoing competition with China in harnessing the information revolution and digital warfare advancements. #usnavy #unmannedsystems #pacificfleet #indopacom #drones #ai #militaryinnovation #jointfiresnetwork #defenseinnovation #china Source- https://lnkd.in/gkCxiAMM

Buliding Ukraine's defense future. Invisible reconnaissance drone with an intelligent control system have created in Ukraine by Ivan Kaunov Kateryna Bezsudna and @Bohdan Sas team. Last 6 month the team has been working on the creation of unmanned aerial. The first field tests have already been conducted and the developers are preparing the EW-resistant drone for combat missions, which will begin to be carried out by March. They are fundraising 7,500,000 UAH (150k£) for the Buntar 1 long-range reconnaissance complex. The funds will go towards the production of three UAVs and a ground control station. A significant advantage on the battlefield is achieved through fire control over the occupied territory, as well as the ability to deliver precise strikes on enemy targets in the rear – in places where personnel and military equipment are concentrated. To accomplish such tasks, in addition to the means of attack themselves (HIMARS, ATACMS, JDAM), there must be reconnaissance tools capable of operating under the influence of enemy electronic warfare and transmitting reconnaissance data in real-time to confirm the presence of a target or adjust the impact. Drones 🛸— Ukraine 🇺🇦 A Ukrainian development team has developed a new combat drone designed to enhance the capabilities of the country’s defense forces. The unmanned aerial vehicle, named REX, was created by Armadrone in response to the operational needs and combat experience of Ukrainian military personnel, according to a Facebook post by the Brave Inventors platform. The REX drone is engineered for a range of missions, including reconnaissance, surveillance, and the deployment of various types of munitions. It can also be used for targeting adjustments during strikes. The drone is capable of identifying, tracking, and eliminating targets, and then assessing the impact of the strike. Depending on the mission, the UAV can carry between two and eight munitions, with a total payload capacity of up to 10 kilograms. https://lnkd.in/eCgTxzqi

🇨🇳🇺🇸🇹🇼 PLA details simulation with drone to counter US ‘Hellscape’ Taiwan plan “China’s military has the ability to impose and maintain a blockade on an island solely with drones”, according to a study released by the People’s Liberation Army. Additionally, drones are also the key to America’s latest plan for a military intervention over the island of Taiwan – a drone-only strategy dubbed “Hellscape” by Adm. Samuel Paparo. The objective of the PLA combat mission outlined in the paper was to form a blockade and control an unnamed island with a narrow shape similar to Taiwan’s terrain. In the simulation, the PLA employed four types of drones. Large and medium-sized drones, with good endurance as well as reconnaissance-and-attack capabilities, were launched from mainland Chinese military bases. Then PLA naval vessels deployed small composite-wing reconnaissance drones After numerous simulated battles, it was discovered that deploying more drones did not necessarily yield better results. Within a combat grid area, once the scale and diversity of drone formations reached a certain threshold, they could effectively control the island and its surrounding waters, suppressing the island’s armed forces and thwarting external aid. #China #USA #Taiwan —- The drone-only strategy Hellscape is based off this agreement: https://lnkd.in/e_KpKaP2
