Thank you for everyone that attended our NPRA San Diego Chapter —Relocation Stress Syndrome educational event, it was such a vulnerable and emotional topic as we help navigate the journey and challenges of our elderlies as they transition to an assisted living. We discussed the importance of collaborative efforts from a move manager, a placement agent and the community director to help alleviate the barriers of the process. In celebration of World Alzheimer’s day last 09/21, Nurturing Care Living Outreach team—— honored the compassionate caregivers, staff and lively elderlies at Kanlungan Ni Maria, Home For The Aged Antipolo City Philippines lead by our Operations manager Janine Diane Angeles and the wonderful volunteers and their families who joined us. 💚 The theme for World Alzheimer's Day 2024 is "Time to act on dementia, Time to act on Alzheimer's". The campaign aims to: •Raise awareness and challenge the stigma and discrimination surrounding Alzheimer's and dementia. •Improve public perceptions of the illness. •Highlight the efforts of governments and organizations to create a more Alzheimer-friendly society. •Support the caregivers. Our goal is to help promote awareness and advocacy in the Philippines where it is still a cultural stigma despite the growing prevalence of dementia, awareness and understanding of the condition is limited.
