Last week, Mississippi Aquarium President and CEO attended the MS Gulf Coast Business Council meeting where former Governor Haley Barbour spoke to the group about leadership and his time in office. "It was a pleasure to meet Governor Haley Barbour at the Gulf Coast Business Council meeting. Nobody could have predicted the catastrophe that occurred during his administration, but the leadership that was shown by the Governor was truly amazing. Even though I watched the events from afar, I was absolutely astonished by the incredible heart and resiliency of Mississippi."

We’re excited to announce a special Christmas multimedia show presented by Coca-Cola® United will debut this holiday season at Mississippi Aquarium. Aquatic Wonders, the main building of Mississippi Aquarium, will be the canvas for a new nighttime spectacular Christmas show featuring projection mapping. This show is being created and installed by the dynamic award-winning teams of MDSX Creative and SPRK Lighting. The storyline is currently in development with the help of some of the Mississippi Aquarium animals and crew. The immersive experience is one of many initiatives towards raising funds for a permanent on-campus habitat for the aquarium’s colony of African penguins. This show will open on Thanksgiving and will incorporate projection mapping, dynamic lighting, and music to deliver an awe-spiring and magical experience for aquarium visitors. Stay tuned on our social media channels for updates on this project and more details as they develop.
