We’re proud to announce that Jen Falk, Partner at #McCathernLaw, was celebrated at the South Texas College of Law Houston Alumni Association’s 2024 Alumni Awards Luncheon last month. Falk was presented with the Public Service Award for her dedication to justice and contributions to public service. Her journey began at South Texas Law, where she was inspired by mentors like Associate Dean Michael Wheeler and former DA Johnny Holmes. As an Assistant District Attorney in Harris County and later a partner at McCathern, Shokouhi, Evans in Dallas, Jen handled numerous jury trials and continued to advocate for victims and their families. With a commitment to community service, Falk continues to make a lasting impact in the legal field. We are so proud to have her apart of the #McCathernLaw family!

After a three-year legal battle and five days of trial over two weeks, we are thrilled to share an incredible victory for our client Mr. Binkley and Scooter's Bar & Grill in Arlington! In a unanimous verdict the jury dismissed Plaintiff’s allegations of breach of contract and fraud, while granting all our counterclaims for fraud and intentional interference with contracts and awarding damages exceeding $500K! Congratulations are in order for our esteemed partners, Ty Sheaks, for his outstanding representation throughout the entire litigation, Jen Falk, for her remarkable prowess in selecting the jury, and associate, Asher Miller, for his exceptional hard work pre- and during trial, including handling a number of witnesses and helping in closing arguments. A special acknowledgment goes to Rowland Jackson and Brandon Sivertson, our phenomenal paralegals and Rosi Gurrola, our outstanding legal assistant, whose steadfast organization guided us through the arduous litigation process and trial. Here's to a celebration of justice, vindication for our client and an unwavering commitment to improving our client's lives.
