It’s back to work for many of us this week – so a great time to be sharing news of our future move to new offices in London! Hear more from António about what the move – from 1 Coleman Street just twenty steps along the road to Woolgate – means for our business and our people.
From One to Ten 🚀🐑 After a summer break 😎 with the family, I am back to the office and this view 📸👇🏻 with my sights set firmly on the future… just a few steps down the road. Today, we have announced that we will move from 1 Coleman Street, home to Legal & General since 2007, to our new offices in Woolgate, 10 Coleman Street, in 2027. Our move from 1 to 10 Coleman Street fits with our strong future ambitions (striving for that perfect 10 😉), and our commitment to: 1/ London: we will be a mere 50 steps 👣 down the road at the heart of the city – where Legal & General was founded in 1836. Today, we are a much more international company but London remains at the heart of our future as we continue to invest across the country (I was in Newcastle yesterday visiting the investments we have made together with Newcastle University and Newcastle City Council.) 2/ Sustainability: helping us to achieve our commitments to NetZero 🌱 by 2030, our new headquarters is being built to the highest environmental standards – with both the building’s performance and our fit-out design externally accredited. 3/ Our people: with a more inclusive and collaborative working environment 🏫 that will support wellbeing. Ahead of moving to our Calon ❤️ building in Cardiff last year, we worked with our teams to design and make the most of our new space – we’ll do the same at Woolgate in the months to come. Btw, the building is called Woolgate 🐑 as it was the site of a wool exchange going back also to the XIX century. Next week I am in NYC 🗽, another city I love, talking to investors about accelerating the execution of the strategy we announced on 12 June [https://lnkd.in/echJz72k]. As we look ahead to making our move from 1 to 10 Coleman Street a reality and accelerating our transformation (10x 🚀) I’m excited about working with colleagues in London and across the globe to create a simpler, better-connected and growing L&G.
