Last Saturday, we held a cleanup with the current Colgate University lacrosse team, picking up a ton of trash at Ferry Point Park. At the end of the cleanup, we gave every player a pair of Clark Anchors and told his story. You can read a little bit more about Clark below, who was a fellow Colgate lacrosse alumni and former Fair Harbor intern. ---- "Clark was a fellow goalie on the Colgate mens lacrosse team - he was two years younger than me and one of my best friends in the world. His lifelong dream was to become a Marine, and he pursued that dream by attending OCS between semesters. One summer, we were fortunate enough to have him intern with Fair Harbor, and I’ll never forget those days. We surfed together, worked trunk shows side by side, and built a lot of the foundation that Fair Harbor still stands for today. Tragically, three years ago, Clark passed away in a surfing accident. He was truly the best of us, and losing him so soon was devastating. To honor his memory, we worked with his family to create the Clark Anchors—which were inspired by Clark using colors from his eyes. It’s a small way to carry forward his memory and share his story with others. Though none of the players on the current Colgate team had the chance to meet or play with Clark, they wear his initials, CP, on their helmets. It was a profound honor for me to share his story and give each player a pair of Clark Anchors in his memory. What made Clark so special was his infectious love of life and the energy he brought to everything he did. He had a way of making everyone feel like his best friend, and we carry that energy with us every day at Fair Harbor." -Jake Danehy (CEO and Co-Founder of Fair Harbor) Follow this link to learn more about Clark's story 💙 : https://lnkd.in/eJnWCzy6

We're thrilled to roll out our Driftwood Denim Shirt, just about a year after we debuted our Driftwood Denim. Last fall, our first jeans sold out in just six weeks, and we knew we were onto something special—further proof that comfort and sustainability really go hand in hand. This new shirt is no exception. Made with an organic cotton and recycled polyester blend, the Driftwood Denim Shirt is designed to feel as good on your skin as it does for the planet. True to our Fair Harbor mission, it focuses on low-impact production and effortless style (basically everything you love about our denim in a classic shirt). What else you should know about our all our denim: Our organic cotton is rain-fed, cutting water consumption by up to 91%. It’s also better for the planet—no chemical pesticides or fertilizers, and less soil erosion than regular cotton. And when it comes to finishing, we keep it clean. No harsh chemicals, sand, or stones here. Instead, we use laser marking for that perfect, lived-in look without wasting hundreds of gallons of water. Check out our new Driftwood Denim Shirt and the latest Black Wash in our Driftwood Denim. Let us know what you think! #sustainabledenim #organiccotton #heritagestyle

We’re incredibly grateful to Ben Sharf and Adrian Alfieri for inviting our co-founder Caroline Danehy to the Turning Pro Podcast to share Fair Harbor's evolution over the last decade—from transforming more than 36 million plastic bottles into sustainable clothing to navigating the B Corp certification process to building brand momentum for the future. Today's launch of our new BreezeKnit™ Top for women has us thinking back to where it all began. Almost a decade ago, we introduced our signature BreezeKnit™ fabric to our men’s swim trunks, and it was a total gamechanger. Inspired by feedback at our trunk shows, we heard loud and clear how frustrating traditional mesh liners could be. We were determined to solve the chafing issue, so we created an airy-soft alternative to mesh called BreezeKnit™. Made from recycled plastic bottles, this fabric is incredibly soft and supportive. Its perforated texture allows heat to escape and cool air to flow while wicking away moisture, so it’s designed to keep you cool and dry. Small changes can create a big impact: adding a BreezeKnit™ liner disrupted the men’s swim category and contributed to our more than 60,000 five-star reviews. Fast forward to today: we're thrilled to bring this innovation to women with our first BreezeKnit™ Top. It's an all-day performance shirt that offers women the same breathable comfort, so they can enjoy that same great BreezeKnit™ feeling all day long whether they’re working out or just walking to grab a coffee. We can’t wait to hear what you think! #BreezeKnit #Performance #Comfort #Activewear #Innovation

We can’t believe our 10-Year Tour is almost over. This Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (August 16-18), we’re closing out our trunk show tour by going back to where it all began: Fire Island. On Friday from 1-4 PM, we’ll be at Corliss Bike & Supply, 62 Bay Walk, Fair Harbor, NY. And on Saturday and Sunday from 12-3 PM, we’ll be at Flair House, 472 Dehnhoff Walk, Ocean Beach, NY. Our anniversary tour has been such an adventure, and we’ve loved every moment of it. Meeting so many of you along the way has been the highlight—hearing your stories, sharing some laughs, and even getting great feedback. We're truly grateful for every conversation. If you’re in the neighborhood this weekend, swing by and say hello. We can’t wait to see you! - Caroline and Jake, Co-founders of Fair Harbor #10thAnniversary #Sustainability #Trunkshow #FireIsland
