WHAT. A. NIGHT! THANK YOU to everyone who SURROUNDED Dream Center Peoria last night as we gathered throughout the building to hear how lives are being impacted around the clock! It was an evening filled with inspiration and awe at God’s love for all He sends our way. We were able to experience the various spaces like the Hope Store, student classrooms, the playground, and where students learn through Trades courses (carpentry, small engine repair, and many more).  We heard from those who are pouring into the lives of those we serve and some whose lives have been transformed by God’s love. It is a privilege to partner with so many who invest through prayer support, serving, and financial gifts!  We can’t wait to see how lives continue to be impacted as we SURROUND those who cross our paths at DCP and in the community. Last night we broke a record. It’s a record that we wish we didn’t break as it shows the need that is all around us in Central Illinois. Last night, we welcomed close to 190 mothers, children, fathering dads, and families into our 24/7 Emergency Shelter. Please be in prayer for our housing staff, guests, resources, and shelter as we prepare to provide every guest with dignity, compassion, and purpose. DCP's annual Golf Outing was such a great time! Thank you to everyone who came out to support our mission and to our incredible staff, volunteers, donors, and sponsors for making this day happen. Happy Father's Day! Today, we’re giving a huge shout out to all of the men who have filled the role of “dad” in our lives! Thank you for playing catch in the back yard for hours, teaching us how to throw a spiral on the turf, how to shave and tie our ties, and demonstrating how to be a man of integrity at work and at home. We appreciate the time you invested over the years, and we can only hope to be like you for those who are following in our footsteps.

Dream Center Peoria hosted a grand opening for the community at Zoe House in Washington yesterday. It’s been a year-long journey up to this point, and we can’t wait for young, expectant moms to move in and experience hope and dignity every day. Would you please take a moment to pray for the young moms who will be moving in today & later this week? Our goal is for this to be a place where they can find stability and grow in confidence as they finish school, training programs, and find jobs they will love into the future as they provide for themselves and their child. “Zoe” means “life” in Greek so we will celebrate new life with the babies and transformed lives through God’s transforming power for the young moms. Celebrating Jesus’ sacrifice on the Cross & His redemptive power in our lives! He is Risen Indeed!! 🙌

“Zoe” means “life” in Greek, at Zoe House we will be celebrating new life with the births of babies and abundant and transformed lives for young moms. This is a home where first-time moms can discover stability as they learn practical life skills like healthy parenting, grocery shopping, cooking, budgeting/finance, and healthy relationships. They will have the opportunity to finish school or a training program, find a job, and grow in confidence during their stay with us. Our staff and mentors will be walking this life journey daily with each young mom, and we can’t wait to see how their lives are impacted by God’s faithfulness and care! Would you please take a moment to pray? Over the last week, we have seen an unprecedented number of guests coming to our 24/7 Emergency Shelter for single women, moms with children, families, and fathering dads. In previous years, we would have normally been housing 100-125 guests, but last week, we hit a high of 165 individuals staying on consecutive nights. Of that number, approximately a third are youth aged 17 or younger. Your prayers are coveted for God's love and peace to surround all who walk through Dream Center Peoria's doors. Also, please pray for the extra workload involved for our staff and the additional costs associated with giving Dignity, offering Compassion, and igniting Purpose for so many at this time. Thank you for partnering with us to "impact families living in poverty, starting with kids and youth!"
