The GORE EXCLUDER Thoracoabdominal Branch Endoprosthesis (TAMBE) procedure is changing the way we treat aortic aneurysms. 🎉 Congratulations to vascular surgeons, William Bevilacqua, MD and Brendon Reilly, MD, and the team at Mercy Hospital who successfully performed the first TAMBE procedure in the Buffalo area on October 15. Did you hear the news?! We've officially opened the doors on our Maternal Health Equity Center! The Center, in partnership with Calming Nature Doula, will connect women with a “Doula Navigator” and empower them to have important conversations to ensure they are receiving whole-person care throughout their pregnancies - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Through this hands-on, individualized approach, expecting mothers will be linked to services and screenings designed to improve health outcomes for both moms and babies, including those who face health disparities based on race and socio-economic factors. A big thank you to Mayor Christopher P. Scanlon for presenting us with a proclamation declaring today Maternal Health Equity Center Day in the City of Buffalo, and to Christina Lewis, Shannon Johns, Dr. Anthony Pivarunas, Crystal D.
