You can either use espresso, a concentrate cold brew coffee or another intense brew of your choice; for the orange juice you can find it in your local supermarket or freshly squeeze it – which is our preferred option; this drink is easy-to-make: fill a glass about ⅔ of the way with ice right before pouring the orange juice in. At this point, pour the coffee over the orange juice and garnish with a slice of orange.
Your Orange Cold Brew is ready! Have a taste and you will be surprised by this wonderful yet daring combination!
On a hot summer day there is only one thing that might be better than an iced lemonade: a delicious Iced Coffee Lemonade. This drink is popular in Sweden, where it is called Kaffelemonad. There is no need to travel to Sweden for this drink however, as it can be made quickly at home with three simple ingredients:
Add coffee, lemon, and sugar to a jar and pour your cool coffee into a mason jar or a cocktail shaker, adding lemon juice and sugar or honey to taste. Shake like it was a cocktail. Next fill a tall glass at least halfway with ice. Pour in the tonic water over the ice, before adding the coffee mixture on top. Garnish with lemon and serve immediately.
Any variations or tips? Let’s concentrate on coffee ! Which one is the best choice? Cold brew is not bad at all, since it tastes sweet, savoury and already chilled. Though, this recipe could be considered one of the tastiest summer espresso drinks: a shot or two of espresso will definitely make your Iced Coffee Lemonade more intense and aromatic. All you have to do is to experiment and find out which option suits you the most!
The third drink we propose seems ideal as summer begins to give way to autumn and is called Iced Caramel Pumpkin Macchiato. This delicious already autumn-inspired cold coffee drink features espresso, vanilla or almond milk, pumpkin pie syrup and caramel sauce.
You will need only five minutes to brew this beverage: Pumpkin pie syrup, Caramel sauce, Vanilla almond milk or almond milk according to your preference, two espresso shots and ice.
Prepare your shots of coffee – equal 2 fluid ounces – with either an espresso machine or an instant espresso powder. Fill a glass with ice and add 1 tablespoon of caramel sauce and 1-1/2 of tablespoons of pumpkin pie syrup. Pour in vanilla almond milk and the espresso shots over top. At this point, stir and enjoy!
There’s literally nothing better during summertime than sitting outdoors on your own or in good company, with a refreshing iced coffee drink, watching the sunset and taking a minute to rest. The iced coffees we have mentioned are some of the best summer coffee drinks to have when it becomes too warm to have your coffee and you just need something cool and delightful to savour!
