Aí gente, confesso que no fundo eu fiquei com saudades da sonoridade do La Roux, mas estou amando esse álbum e vou te contar: ela acertou em cheio!

Silent Partner is like La Roux's own Blue Monday =D [2] This tune reminds me a bit of [artist]New Order[/artist].

At first listen her new album sounds like nothing special to me. Previous one was so addictive, and had a lot of catchy, potential hits. Right now I'm listening to "Paradise Is You", which is very good song, but the fact is that I don't remember previous two songs! I hope that the rest is more catchy...

TiP gets better with each listen. Ok at first, then addicting.

Trouble in Paradise slays <3 [2]. Every single track is so light, groovy (Kiss and Not Tell, Tropical Chancer!) and summer-ish, it's really great. And I'm glad she didn't use that much falsetto this time, it feels more mature. Also live drums on Sexotheque (@Coachella, to be precise) are just amazing, too bad they don't sound as powerful on album too... Anyway, album's almost perfect. ;)

This record blossoms with each listen. It's not "in your face", unlike the debut which also had a restless & snappy characteristic. This one feels dignified and noble.

As long as La Roux makes me feel like dancing, any album she releases is good enough for me haha. Trouble in Paradise is not as catchy as her self-titled but i think the tunes and lyrics sound really good nonetheless. I guess it takes some more time to really get into.

I agree as well. "I'm Not Your Toy" is still straight 4 alarm FIRE after all these years, and trumps anything on the new album, but I can sit through the new album a lot easier than I can the self-titled (and that might be perhaps due to its shorter length as well)

My roommate's cat's name is Stella. I usually call her Stella-Gurl, or St. Steli Girl (fashioned after St. Pauli Girl, the beer (and as another side note, the roomie named her after Stella Artois)) and now I'm happy to announce that Little Stella is now going by STELLY JACKSON.

Trouble In Paradise is so... flat, weak. Boring. I'm disappointed.

I don't know why new album is so disappoiting. It sounds like it would be unfinished or was made too fast, but it was 5 years of 0creating album. Only few tracks are quite good.
