The Vice President, Director of Regulatory Compliance will oversee and manage the compliance function for a mid-size bank, ensuring that the organization adheres to federal, state, and local banking regulations. This role requires strong leadership skills, in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, regulators, and other external parties. In this role, you will drive initiatives that mitigate compliance risks, improve processes, and support the bank's growth while maintaining regulatory integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop, execute, monitor, analyze and report all Compliance and CRA policies and programs and report results to the exec team and board
- Main focus is on CRA & Compliance and will need knowledge & skills for each
- Provide support to BSA functions as needed
- Risk assessments & maintaining the Bank's "compliance and auditing" calendar
- Review policies and procedures
Education/Experience:
- Minimum Undergraduate degree, Graduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, law or business preferred.
- Demonstrated understanding of banking laws and regulations.
- Experience with mortgage and commercial lending compliance
- Certified Regulatory Compliance Manager (CRCM) certification by ABA which requires 3 years of experience as a compliance officer and 80 hours of training courses approved by the Institute of Certified Bankers, is a plus, but must be willing to obtain such certification within 12 months of hire.
- 3 to 5 years' experience with managing compliance regulatory projects or experience in compliance, audit or risk management function.
