The message tonight is clear: Washingtonians are ready to work together to take on our toughest challenges — improving public safety, lowering costs for housing, groceries, and child care, and protecting…
Dave Reichert released a statement after Tuesday’s results were released:
“Washington voters have sent a message that they are ready for a change. I am thankful to all who voted for me in this primary. To those who voted for someone on the ballot who isn’t moving on to the general election or did not cast a ballot tonight but will in November, I will work tirelessly to earn your vote.
“As I have traveled throughout our beautiful state over the last year, the thoughts and concerns of Washingtonians have been clear. People are feeling less safe in their neighborhoods, high costs of living have left far too many struggling to make ends meet, and folks see a state government that is focused on everything but fixing our most pressing problems. But Washingtonians haven’t lost hope. They know we can get this state on track, but it will take a different approach than the status quo. Bob Ferguson is the status quo. He won’t change a thing; I will. That’s the difference and that is what will be on the ballot this Fall.”
According to The Associated Press, Dem. Bob Ferguson and Rep. Dave Reichert are moving on to the general election in November.
