Mart trade takes a blow as lack of grass keeps buyers away

A combination of factors came together to hit the mart trade surprisingly hard last week.
The main cause was a shortage of buyers as reduced grazing grass supplies and the need to get farm work done — chiefly silage — took precedence over a trip to the mart.
