Haunted 4: Demons (2020)
Demons... really?
MY GOD!!! I sat thru 132 mins of nothing!!! The cliffhanger ending of part 3 was for nothing as this has the same presenter, crew and medium but is about a house in London being haunted, or so they say? Nothing happens again but this is even worse, its just repetitive and dull!!! Where's the 'Demons' of the title??? We had a Eastern European psychic woman reading coffee bean in a 40 year old cup for nearly half an hour!!!! Shots of fake ghost reading gadgets spelling out words, people asking ghosts stupid questions abd axreally annoying radio scanning machine that was just a acge for my ears, urgh! If ur doing a fake ghost hunting show for over 2 hrs at least have something happen.
The Last Day (2018)
Fantastic!!!
I loved this film because it has style and substance over the dark humour and action pack thrill. The Last Day (2018) kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time. Matthew Dlyon Knight does a tremendous job at making a groundbreaking short film. The stars were fantastic in this as well. Andy Blithe and Pete Noakes are brilliant as Colt and Bray, our two lovable thieves. Their performances worked and they did well as the dynamic duo. I wish there was a sequel to this film now that the zombies are out. Please watch this film as it definitely delivers an exciting experience all the way through!!!
Bridge of the Doomed (2022)
A really good action zombie movie
Reminded me of things like A Bridge Too Far, Bridge of the River Kwai and Snakes on a Plane. Bridge of the Doomed features a brand new set of faces as well as some familiar ones. Robert LaSardo was very good as one of the leads: he played it well and took the movie seriously. This is not one of those typical zombie movies that are unimaginative and doesn't have much motive other than living. After The Walking Dead, those missing it should watch this film too. Soundtrack was great and had a cool 80's synth type feel, paying homage to Romero's Day of the Dead or something along those lines. 10/10.
Numbers (2022)
Death Count
What is just as impressive is the fascinating way in which the affair combines numerical, literary, and sonic clues which may aid in the contributors' survival in the second half of the fiction. The quickness and unpredictability with which most of the cast gets slaughtered in the mesmerizing first act is just as noteworthy. Such measures create a welcome balance to the more routine beats of the composition. It also makes the endeavor far more palpable in the nerve-shredding anticipation it brilliantly builds.
From a technical perspective, the work is equally stalwart. The cinematography from Su and music from Scott Glasgow is atmospheric and immersive. I especially enjoyed the incorporation of the fitting track from Psycho Synner, the Jeremy Spencer and Shawn McGee penned "The Torture Never Stops" (2021), during the enthralling end credits. Moreover, the editing from Jeremy Wanek, costume design by Joe Lujan, sound, makeup, stunts, and effects are all outstanding.
Also identified as Numbers, Death Count is a scrappy, in-your-face midnight movie. It isn't as groundbreaking as the features from which it derives inspiration. Regardless, it will assuredly please those of us who are always frantically searching for a stellar dose of grueling cinematic terror. A Mahal Empire, Mezek Films, and Blaen-Y-Maes Bootleg Films production, Su's exercise is twisted fun. It's also one of the best genre undertakings of the year.
