Tyrant: Two Graves (2016)
Worse than Dexter
I never thought I'd see a series end worse than Dexter yet here we are. Did the writers get fired? Season 1 and 2 were great and then Season 3 just blew out their underwear with the final episode just a total disaster. Like it got cramps in the produce aisle and didn't make it to the bathroom.
Ozark: Sanctified (2022)
Robin Wright well directed final 2 episodes
I hope she's directing some of the final episodes in Part 2 of the season. Excellent final episodes of Part 1 of the series finale. It's going to be interesting to see how everything shakes out here in the end.
Brotherhood (2006)
Just "ok"....tried too hard to ride the Soprano's coattails.
It started off good in the first couple of seasons, but fizzled in the final season. The writing got too flat and bland...the Declan story line was just overkill and hiring him to run an investigation into congress by Tommy still puzzles me.
Also, during the whole series, the mother tried to be too Irish to an annoyance level with her accent, cuisine, etc...she's no Camila Soprano. This should have been based in Boston since it was loosely based on the Bulger family to really depict the Irish mob since Providence is more Italians and Portuguese descendants. It tried to be too much like the Sopranos especially the meat grinder sausage scene for the US Attorney's body...right out of the Christopher/Satriale's scene and Colin and Kathy was the same storyline as Furio and Camila with a hand getting feelings for the Boss's wife. They even had a few Soprano lesser known actors in the show.
Overall not disappointed I found this to watch 12 years later, especially during the Covid dry spell of new shows and content getting produced, but it didn't blow me away.
