The Taking of Deborah Logan is an above average found footage horror film. It is about an elderly woman, Deborah, who has Alzheimer's disease. Her medical condition is worsening unusually quickly, which makes both the characters and us viewers understand that something is not as it should be. She is in fact possessed.
The film has a good pacing and it stays that way for the duration of the movie. The characters are credible and not extremely stupid like in some horror films. The acting was also good.
The film has an uncomfortable atmosphere and Deborah creeped me out many times. Alzheimer's disease can be creepy enough by itself, and now she is also possessed. The film has some good scares but also some cheap jump scares.
I thought the film was good but it fell a bit short on the ending. The ending was interesting, but ended too easily for the characters. I wanted a bit more chaos. Still a good horror movie though.
