The Red Pill (2016)
A major eye opener whether you are a feminist or a non-feminist.
Earlier this year I saw this documentary and when I saw the whole thing I was like...Wow! Because the documentary is about the journey of a staunch feminist who tries to explore the Men's Rights Association and try to expose it as an organization that is sexist and misogynistic. But then during her journey, she begins to question her own feminist views.
Now, this documentary is pretty fair to both sides and does not say things like "F--- the Feminist Movement" or "F--- the MRAs". And also when I heard about how many feminists protested the screening of the film, I decided to see for myself and now I understand the reason why feminists wanted this film banned.
It's because they're so afraid of the truth that men suffer so much and how the double standards of the feminist movement poison everything. It is also shown how feminists hate it when a non-feminist try to speak up and try to silence them because they're so indoctrinated and so narcissistic that they act like the Spanish Inquisition and the Roman Catholic Church in the Middle Ages.
This documentary proves that men are seen as expendable, how they get screwed over in family courts, the fallacies of the so-called "rape culture", and statistics that show the sad truth and major differences between men and women.
Of course, after this documentary, feminists would call Cassie Jaye a traitor and a sell-out, which is a typical reaction you'd expect from a feminist. Because it's like when you join their movement, you belong to them.
There is so much people can learn through this documentary. Every man and woman should see this. For if you seek equality, we must sit down and talk things without silencing anyone.
Zordon of Eltar (2015)
A great fan-film on Zordon's Origins
I happen to be a big fan of the Power Rangers franchise ever since I was a boy of 9 years of age when I first saw the re-runs of Seasons 1 and 2 in 1995. It's a great thing that the director and writer of this movie decided to create a movie about Zordon's origins, but how he envisions it of course.
I really enjoyed the nods and appearances of characters from Power Rangers: Turbo, In Space, Masked Rider, MMPR: The Movie and many more. But one thing I wish made an appearance was one of the most important and well known villains of MMPR.
So I gotta say he did awesome in making nods to non-Power Rangers shows, movies and video games such as Star Wars, Star Trek, Final Fantasy, DBZ and many more which was cool. Although it's sad that he won't make the Teenagers With Attitude sequel due to lack of funds at kickstarter.
It's an enjoyable fan film to watch on YouTube, I liked it better than that R-Rated version of MMPR.
Teenagers With Attitude (2014)
Some cons, but still worthy of being a great fan film
I have been a fan of the Power Rangers since my childhood, and watching this fan film brought me back to my childhood, but in a different manner. I liked the fan film and re-imagining of Day of the Dumpster with some dark tones like at the beginning of the film. And this also shows teenagers with ACTUAL attitudes, not those goody goody teens we saw on the shows since we were kids.
Although I have some cons which I will refrain from mentioning to avoid spoilers, this fan film was worty of being an awesome film. I was also impressed by many things in this film such as Rita's new appearance and also how our heroes are portrayed.
All I can say is that I liked it and I'm looking forward to Zordon of Eltar.
Pokémon Origins (2013)
This is exactly WAY better than the anime itself
The very first time I played Pokemon I was about 13 years old and the first game I played was Pokemon Blue, then I played the Special Pikachu Edition which was a tribute to the anime, but had little in common with it. The character of Red is very similar to his gaming counterpart, but he is not as stupid and idiotic as Ash is in the anime. Blue is similar in the games as well, but he doesn't have that jackass personality as Gary Oak in the anime, and has no cheerleaders cheering him on.
At first I thought that it was gonna be as boring as the anime. Truth is, the anime WAS boring after Johto Journeys and Ash has barely won any tournaments except for one in the anime. An interesting thing in this mini-series is that the Pokemon don't talk unlike in the anime when Pikachu says "Pika pika".
The Team Rocket of this short is faithful to the team in the games and have absolutely nothing to do with the two bumbling morons from the anime. Professor Oak sounds a lot better than in the anime as well. Most battles were awesome especially the one at the end which I will NOT mention. That is for all of you to see, not for me to tell.
This is EXACTLY what the anime should have been like, because unlike Ash, Red was more determined and smarter. For old Pokemon fans, this is the BEST thing to see.
Dragonball Evolution (2009)
Us fans were right
First of all, I knew this was a very bad idea to make this movie in the first place. James Wong is terrible directing this movie, I knew he would screw this up since directing "The One" which was a very bad movie as well.
I remember watching the Taiwanese movie "Dragon Ball: The Magic Begins", and to tell the truth, they respected and stuck to the plot as well. I've been watching the Dragon Ball series in my childhood and my teens as well. And I really enjoyed watching the anime, I saw it from Dragon Ball to DBGT.
Here is a list of things of how this movie was screwed up by "Americanizing" it, like they did with Japanese owned shows like the Super Sentai aka Power Rangers, and so on.
1. Goku was never Bulma's age
2. Grandpa Gohan was already dead at the time of the King Piccolo saga
3. Goku was never a high school reject
4. Mai was never a part of Piccolo's group since she was with Pilaf
5. I hated how they took off Master Roshi's comical and perverted side
6. Goku cannot turn unless he has a tail.
So you see, that is why I believed that making this movie was a very bad idea in the first place, and now, they're making a sequel. My question is; "How can you make a sequel, when the first movie was not a success?"
My overall score is a 2 out of 10.
Superbad (2007)
Move over American Pie, Superbad has dethroned you
This movie is absolutely, deliberately funny. I just saw it last night at my cousin's house and I laughed my ass off throughout the whole movie. Jonah Hill is so hilarious in that movie, and I gotta say, although American Pie has been the funniest teen comedy of all time, this movie has actually been the key to dethrone it.
That was my absolute opinion last night when I saw it. This movie is easily 100 times better than American Pie, I swear to God. There are also many things to learn like, getting to second base with your crush, failed crushes, first kisses and getting drunk for the first time in a party.
This movie filled the whole summer with laughs and chair falling while having fun non-stop all the way. I give this movie an 8 out of 10. This year in my list this is the second best 2007 movie after Transformers.
Dawn of the Dead (2004)
A quite decent movie, but with many flaws
Although the storyline of this movie was decent, there are too many flaws, but do not read if you have not seen the movie, because some things I might say, might spoil it for you. Before I tell what the flaws are, I gotta say that I am not a very big fan of remakes of the original, almost nothing is original made these days, because we got adaptations and remakes all over Hollywood.
The tagline of the original and the remake is: "When there is no more room in Hell, the dead will walk the Earth". In my opinion for this movie is: "When there are no more fresh ideas in Hollywood, the lazy shall make a god-awful remake".
Now I gotta say the flaws that this movie has: This movie is actually trying to be like "28 Days Later". Why, because they think that running zombies will make it much scarier. Wrong! Zombies don't run, climb like monkeys in a zoo or give birth to children. Some of the characters are awesome like CJ (Michael Kelly), Andy (Bruce Bohne) and Kenneth (Ving Rhames), my most hated characters are Steve (Ty Burrell) and Nicole (Lindy Booth).
My rating for this movie is a 5 out of 10
The Godfather (1972)
An offer that I could NOT refuse to see
I am highly addicted to this movie and I enjoyed it ever since the first time I ever saw it. And to tell the truth I could not take my eyes off of it and I was enjoying it up to the max.
My favorite character in this movie is Michael Corleone, played by a then younger Al Pacino. He is the best in the whole movie next to Sonny and Vito Corleone. I like Michael because of the way he is with his father and also of his rise to the criminal empire.
Sonny is another one of my favorites because he is tough and hard headed and how he defended his younger sister from her abusive husband Carlo Rizzi. But it is a bad thing what happens to him, it was something that angered me.
Vito Corleone is also the best one in this movie and my favorite line of him in the movie is: "I'm going to make him an offer he cannot refuse". This is one of the best lines in the movie.
This movie has great music, characters, storyline and I give it a 10 out of 10.
Kyôryû sentai Jûrenjâ (1992)
Way better than it's American counterpart
I remember my days as a kid watching the Power Rangers, but when I saw this show last year, I discovered that it was much better than it's American adaptation and it also has a much darker tone than that.
Kyouryuu Sentai Zyuranger is a famous "Super Sentai" series which came to the air in 1992. It grew immensely popular in Japan until it had it's American adaptation in 1993 and they were known as the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers which the battle scenes featured footage from the Japanese series.
If some people who still watch the Power Rangers come and ask me. Which I would chose, I would answer them that I would choose the "Super Sentai" any day.
The differences between this show and the American version are these The zords are colossal robots controlled by the Power Rangers. In Zyurangers, the dinosaurs are gods from the respective tribes of the heroes.
The legendary Tommy Oliver loses the powers of the Green Ranger while his counterpart Burai, dies from the green candle.
In most Sentai series, Yellow Rangers are mostly male while in the Power Rangers most of the Yellow Rangers were female. Boi is Tigerranger, while here in the US, Trini Kwang played by the late Thuy Trang is the Yellow Ranger.
I loved this show and I give this a 10 out of 10
Street Fighter (1994)
So corny that it killed the game with stupid sense of humor
As a big fan of the Street Fighter video games and anime movies and series, I gotta say that this movie was very corny that killed the Street Fighter feeling. Most of the characters of the movie were totally butchered. This is a terrible video game based movie just like Double Dragon.
Van Damme was horrible making a fool out of himself by playing as Guile with a corny accent. For example, this is how all of the characters were butchered.
Chun Li was never a reporter, she's a detective working for the Interpol and plotting her revenge on Bison for her father's death.
Ryu and Ken were never a pair of small time hustlers, they were trained under their master Gouken. Ryu is always wandering in places seeking his rival and Ken is a rich guy who is Ryu's best friend.
Guile was never the main character of the game.
Charlie was presumed to be killed by Bison and he was never Blanka. Blanka is a monster named Jimmy who disappeared in a plane crash.
Cammy and T-Hawk were never part of Guile's army.
Sagat was never an arms dealer and he is a muay thai champion and Ryu's rival.
Dee Jay was never a bad guy. He is a Jamaican rapper and fighter, not a computer genius.
I do not remember Balrog being one of the good guys.
And Sawada was never part of the game story. Steven E. Souza was afraid to put Fei Long since it payed tribute to Bruce Lee.
AND Shadaloo is supposed to be Bison's narcotics group that smuggles drugs and guns worldwide, not a city.
What I can say of this story is that it is stupid, corny and a total waste of time.
I give this movie a 4 out of 10.
Brokeback Mountain (2005)
Even straight people can enjoy this movie
I'm a big fan of movies. But this one is a romantic one even if its about two cowboys sharing some love. Well, I'm a straight person and I saw this movie today. And to tell the truth it wasn't that bad.
The love story between these two cowboys was somehow tragic since one of them meets their demise. This is a good movie to watch. Even if many gays and lesbians praise this movie, some straight men and women enjoyed it also because of how touching it was.
The music was typically country style since it took place in places such as Texas and Wyoming and even in the mountains somewhere in the south.
The movie was very good and deserved to win awards. I give this a 9 out of 10.
In my words to this movie, touching, romantic and very creative.
Street Fighter II: The World Warrior (1991)
The best Street Fighter game before all the others
1992. The year when the Street Fighter saga became very popular before every game there is today such as Turbo/Super/Alpha/Ex etc. I was 6 years old when this great game came out. Me and my siblings used to play it every day all day during the summer when I had my Super NES.
I remember that every time we used Guile because on that time, he was the MAN! Using him every time and kicking some ass with him. No matter what this will be the best Street Fighter game of all time as we die hard fans of this fighting game say.
That year was the beginning of the Street Fighter legacy before Mortal Kombat came and also rose to popularity among fans of fighting genre video games.
To me, Street Fighter owns Mortal Kombat. However in 1994, the darkest moment of Street Fighter II was when the ill fated live-action movie came out.
Street Fighter II is and always will be the absolute best.
I give this game a 10 out of 10
Baila conmigo (1992)
Excellent novela
I remember once as a child how me and my two big sisters watched this soap opera sometimes. I was 8 and had such a crush on Bibi Gaytan's character Pilar. I used to see it sometimes and I like the coupling of Pilar and Eddie. They make a great couple and the relationship between Eduardo Capetillo and Bibi Gaytan made one big step, leading it to their marriage.
This is one great old school show for young people if it comes out to DVD and video one of these days. I would love to see this again someday. I am 20 years old now and I still watch some clips of it at www.youtube.com
Now Bibi and Eduardo are married and they have 3 wonderful children. I hope they come back together for another similar thing like this. Thank You very much. Muchas Gracias

Hyakujû sentai Gaorenjâ tai Sûpâ Sentai (2001)
The way "Forever Red" should have been
I've seen this movie and it is much better than Power Rangers Wild Force's "Forever Red". Most of the Super Sentai warriors reunite to fight more powerful forces of evil.
I believe that the Super Sentai are much, much better than Power Rangers. Because the American adaptation seems to childish and ridiculous. Not only that, instead of ten red warriors it was 25 red rangers.
This movie is totally awesome and has more action than "Forever Red".
In my words this is how "Forever Red" should have been.
This movie gets a 10 out of 10
A Cinderella Story (2004)
It ain't that bad
Well, what can I say? I think that this movie wasn't bad even if nobody liked the idea of Murray and Duff as the movie's couple. This is a typical Cinderella story as it's titled in this film.
It's not so bad as they say. The movie, may be flawed but it teaches a good lesson such as: If you believe in yourself, you will achieve what you want in this world.
Chad Michael Murray plays as the popular Austin Ames a varsity quarterback of high school, while Hilary Duff plays as the loser but sweet Sam Montgomery. I was shocked by this character because she taught everyone that if no one supports you in hard times, you have yourself or your best friend. But the point is that you have to believe in yourself. Because if you don't you have vanity in the end, and you don't believe in nothing, not even yourself.
So for this movie. In my opinion this deserves a 6 out of 10
American History X (1998)
Excellent Movie!
This is a totally powerful film. The actors did a great job and the story was not only moving but a very strong one. This movie teaches all about what hate can do to many people because it gets you nowhere.
The movie's ending had a message saying that hate is not the right way to solve things. There is good and bad in every race no matter what to tell the truth.
Edward Norton did a great job in playing the role of a reformed skinhead and showing his Neo Nazi brother (Edward Furlong) the error of his ways.
Neo Nazis still exist today in America and many parts of the world. This movie was meant to reduce the Neo Nazism, but according to some people it did more harm than good. But to many people it did more good than harm according to a friend I was talking to in college.
The ending is sad, but it is neither good nor bad in which says "hate is baggage, life's too short to be angry the whole time".
This movie gets a 10 out of 10
Ángel Rebelde (2004)
Starts with a Bang! Ends with a thud!
I like this novela, and I gotta say that it started good but it ended with a thud. I gotta say that sometimes the writers just like messing up the ending and stuff but they try the best they can to make the novela the best. What can I say about some of the actors of this soap opera from Venezuela? Well, here is my opinion about them. Let's start off with Miss Valdez: Grettell Valdez had a good performance as Lucia, she is the lead female and the lead male's love interest. Most of the characters of this novela fell in love with this girl as I've seen it in the episodes.
Victor Noriega plays the character Raul, he is Lucia's lover, in most of the episodes he starts to distrust her many times due to the problems occurring in their relationship. And he marries Lucia's cousin and worst enemy, who he would never ever love.
Osvaldo Rios plays Alejandro Valderrama. This is my favorite character in this novela, he had the best performance and his character is a man who seeks to recover everything he lost and get revenge on his evil mother in law for trying to kill Alejandro's lover, who is none other than her daughter and he accidentally kills the rapist and send to jail for 20 long years.
Alba Roversi plays as Lucia's mother and Alejandro's lover, Elena. I loved this actress playing as her, she put a lot of sentimental value in her character. She was the perfect one to play the role of a caring and loving mother. She was amazing.
Bernie Paz plays as Claudio Salazar. An excellent doctor and the man who falls for Lucia. But in the end he discovers that she will never love him and he falls for one of her cousins, Mariela.
Maritza Rodriguez is the villainous Cristal, she had a lot of dimensional value to this character. Cristal is the ruthless, frivolous and evil one of this novela. She sets her sights on Raul and when she can't seduce him, she had it and she tries to kill him in the end.
Lisette Morelos is Natasha. Lucia's cousin and Cristal's sister, she has a good role as a mother too. But sometimes she was kinda sad.
Claudia Islas is Enriqueta, Elena's mother, Cristal's grandmother and another villainous character who is always the complice of Cristal. She is also the grandmother of Mariela, Natasha, and Lucia even though she hates her. She is the worst enemy of Alejandro Valderrama.
Ariel Lopez Padilla plays as Ernesto, he had a lot of sentimental value too. And also he plays the role of Ernesto's twin brother Romulo. They're twins but they are completely different.
Jorge Luis Pila plays as Jose Armando. He sort of reminds me of myself when he fell in love with Lucia but he could never win her love. Like me when I fall in love with someone and sometimes I can't get the girl to be mine. Hehehe! The novela started good but it ended with a thud That is all I can say about it. Thanks! Passenger 57 (1992)
One of the best films of the early 90's
This is an excellent film of the early 90's, I loved it a lot. This movie is nothing but a great fun kick-ass movie. This movie has a lot of action packed thriller, and the actors performances were absolutely terrific.
Wesley Snipes surely kicks some terrorist ass, with martial arts moves and he had a great acting. Elizabeth Hurley was very good in one of her first performances and she was excellent in being one of the bad guys in this movie.
This is one of my favorite plane movies. I hope to see it again on T.V, better yet, on DVD, since I have a new one at home right now.
Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (2005)
Excellent Movie! I loved it so much
This is the best Star Wars movie yet, ever since The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi. Revenge of the Sith is now the end of the series and it ended successfully as I can see it. I watched it last night on my DVD because I rented it near the blockbuster store.
I was so anxious to see this movie when I finally had my DVD, I don't have to go to the movies anymore, well, sometimes if I have to. This is one of the best movies of the summer of 2005. And it's followers are: Batman Begins, Mr & Mrs Smith, Charlie & the Chocolate Factory and many more.
I give this movie a scale of 10/10. And I believe this movie is worthy of an Oscar.
Fainaru fantajî sebun adobento chirudoren (2005)
I can't wait
Damn! I am absolutely in love! I am a great fan of the Final Fantasy Series ever since I started playing FF7. What I can say about this is that the movie could be a lot better than 'The Spirits Within'.
Besides I really can't wait for this movie to come out on DVD so I can finally see it. This one will be worthy of a Final Fantasy movie, because the previous one was not that good.
Loads of action, fun, drama and fiction created by Tetsuya Nomura.
About the characters. I liked the changes they had, for example:
Cloud Strife has his own Buster Sword.
Barret Wallace gets a new arm and a new look, I should call him "Bionic Barret".
Tifa Lockheart looks a lot better with that new set of clothes.
Aeris Gainsborough appears in some sort of a dream world.
Vincent is a lot more darker and more cool.
Yuffie hasn't changed her materia geek attitude
I wonder what the critics would say about this one.
And one more thing, video game based movies should be animated or CGI too.
Kyandi Kyandi (1976)
The cartoon that will bring tears to your eyes
This is a great soap-opera like anime, I used to watch it with my two older sisters when I was 8 years old, it was such a romantic and beautiful anime.
In the Dominican Republic "Candy Candy" was one of the most watched anime in the whole country, and many people cried a lot, so did I in some episodes
The episode that makes everybody cry so much is "No te mueras Anthony" (Don't die Anthony) me and my sister cried on the episode where Anthony dies, Anthony was Candy's first boyfriend.
Candy is an innocent and beautiful 16 year old orphan girl and she was often bullied by Anthony's cousins Elisa and Neil and even they both send her to Mexico.
This anime made me cry a lot in many episodes including the one where Anthony dies, this anime will bring tears to your eyes.
I love this show, I hope I can see it again some day.
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2003)
A true classic revived
I'm so happy to see these cartoons again and as anime, when I was 5 years old I used to watch it every morning before school. I loved those cartoons, I even had many toys of them and my cousin had those toys too, I never forget the classic.
Leonardo: This is my favorite turtle because he's the leader and he fights with swords, and in the episode where he is attacked by Shredder during a training, it's very similar like in the first movie
Raphael: He always has a high temper and he is easily angered sometimes by Leo because of giving too much orders
Michaelangelo: He's the funniest of the team and he lives and loves to party, specially when it comes to eating too much pizza.
Donatello: The genius of the team, he makes me laugh a lot when his experiments and other inventions blow up when they fail.
Shredder (a.k.a Orouku Saki): The worst enemy of the turtles and Splinter, it is known that he killed Splinter's master Yoshi many years ago when they lived in Japan.
This show makes the classic live forever in the minds of Die-Hard fans like me, I will always like this true classic.
¡Qué locura! (2003)
FUNNY! FUNNY! FUNNY! FUNNY! FUNNY! EXTREMELY FUNNY!
This show is even better than Punk'd. Me and my dad love this show that we laugh until we drop, seeing how the actors get into mischief only to realize that there just being tricked and they don't know there is a camera in front of them.
My favorite one is Inspector Rodriguez, because he is the one that causes all the celebrities the biggest mischief and he mades the actors try to hit him while the actresses slap him around.
This show is EXTREMELY FUNNY! I suggest it for many latin Americans!
Many people in Dominican Republic love the show as much as many latin Americans love 'La Guerra de los Sexos'.
Rebeca (2003)
A great show!
This telenovela was very excellent but it wasn't that popular in New York and Dominican Republic as Gata Salvaje. The actors are great in this soap opera, and they are great in every episode.
Well it's too bad that it only had a few episodes, I wish it would be longer as Gata Salvaje because, most telenovelas are very longer and they put the final episodes in the next year, some telenovelas last a year and a half.
Well, Mariana Seaone is great in this telenovela and she's lucky that she wasn't busted for no reason in one of the episodes, that's the usual things about lead females in telenovelas, Rebeca may have started a little bit with a thud but it ended with a BANG! By discovering that it had multiple endings you know.
Many people in the final episode wanted Martin and Rebeca to be together but Rebeca ended with Eduardo instead, that's the only ending I've seen. Well but Eduardo was best for Rebeca because she would be a great mom for Eduardo and Princesa's little daughter, and the best wife for Eduardo.
On a scale of soap operas like this one I give it a 9/10
Fainaru fantajî (1987)
The beginning of a Legacy
Final Fantasy is my favorite RPG of all time, the first Final Fantasy is where the legacy and the saga began, it is a very good game for the beginning of a great series.
The characters at first they have no names but the classes are: Fighter, Knight, Thief, Ninja, Black Belt, Monk, Red Mage, Red Wizard, White Mage, White Wizard, Black Mage and Black Wizard. Everytime I play the game, I always use 2 fighters one white mage and a black mage.
The game starts in a cool medieval world full of monsters and many cool things. And it is the birth of Nobuo Uematsu's greatest music of all the series.
