Little Girl Blue (2023)
Why reproduce it then?

- Why reproduce it then?
Sadly, Mona Ashan lost her mom to her sudden and independent passing. Mona has found a hidden archive that provides clues not only to the era, but also to the family tree.
The generational relationship, the "fathers and children" relationship is a timeless classic of creativity. When you are a child, you idolize your parents, because they are your world and you think there is no other world. When you're a teenager, you oppose your parents and try to find yourself. When you are an adult, communication is reorganized into partnership, mutual help and support. I would like to say that you become friends, but it is not quite correct, because there should be such a hierarchy between a child and a parent.
Nevertheless, throughout our lives, in our minds, parents are perfect and calm people who are simply not inherently flawed, faulty, and human. But this is only one side of the person you knew as your dad or mom.
In life there is a lot of pain, disappointment, offenses, but there are moments of happiness, fun, joy. After all, a person is a multifaceted personality, which in every situation, with different people can be in different guises. When your parents, friends or relatives suddenly leave, you are left alone with your own questions, which are probably not destined to be answered. What did you do wrong? How did the person feel? Is there any fault on my part? The big question is why wasn't I shared?
So different, voluminous and multifaceted was the personality of Carole Ashan. She had her weaknesses, mistakes and shortcomings, but she was Mona Ashan's mom.
The movie is a search for an answer to who Carole Ashan is and why her fate turned out this way. It seems to me that Ashan managed to find answers to her questions, to understand her mom, to cry and let go.
Amazing performance by Marion Cotillard, who admits that this is the most difficult role in her career, but she copes with it with incredible effort and dedication.
My recommendation to watch it! We all definitely need to talk. So much misery and unhappiness happens because we don't talk to each other because of fears, insecurities and just not wanting to appear weak, but talking is just vital.
Tantsuy, Selyodka! (2023)
Go away, I said I'll call you.
You're the kid who feels like worming your way underground when your parents fight. You're so tired of hearing it every time and it's a breath of fresh air every time you spend such precious moments of happiness with one of your parents. You feel like everything will be better now, that everything is fixed now, but then everything goes back to normal. Bottom line: parents split up.
Willy-nilly you look for answers as to why this could have happened, but you get no answer. You're sick of hearing "you'll grow up and understand," but as time goes on, the pain gets quieter and quieter. As time goes on, you get used to your daddy being an outgoing/coming daddy. Such rare meetings that you look forward to them like a breath of air, because Daddy couldn't have forgotten my birthday. Daddy really hasn't forgotten, but whether it's his lack of empathy or his wishful thinking that makes everything work out for him after his sleeves. You're glad for even these displays of attention, because you always think the worst and can't even imagine what could be better. Well, he comes, you say to yourself as if justifying him.
Time goes on - hatred, indifference, apathy accumulate, which of course affects your psyche, but the worst thing is that you can't get an answer to the question: "Why did everything happen like this?".
Unfortunately, we went over the tops and you will not get any answers in this movie, though should you? Everyone answers himself after watching the movie.
I lacked depth and elaboration of the theme. "Why did you leave? Why didn't you come to my birthdays?" - to these answers you answer to the extent of your imagination, so I did not understand the development of the hero and the reaction in the last scene of the movie.
In spite of this, the movie touched your soul and brought back childhood memories that are imprinted in your psyche. Thanks to Alexandra Bortich, Ilya Antonenko and Pavel Maykov for the memories that resurfaced and for the wonderful acting.
7 out of 10.
