All You Ever Wished For (2018)
All You Never Wished For
I wish I studied instead of watching this movie. Now I'll have to study double to make up for the brain cells it stole from me. Ok so I'll say the good and the bad about this movie.
PLUS POINTS:
+Lovely scenery
+Interesting idea, I guess
+Italian theme
MINUS POINTS:
-Weird, like REALLY weird (a guy falls in love with a cow and constantly wants to milk it, like what????)
-Horrible script
-Awful acting
-Super confusing plot
-Lame jokes
Altogether, "All You Ever Wished For" was "Nothing I Ever Wished For." It was weird and not in a quirky cute way. It was rushed and slow at the same time. Maybe, just maybe, if it was done differently I might have liked it.
But that's me trying, with all my might, to be optimistic. The only thing I gained from this movie was an urge to visit italy.
Ciao!
Ton Rai Plai Rak (2023)
Exciting and relaxing romance
Watch if you... love running in the rain, mansions on islands, age gaps, false identities, and you are allergic to milk.
The main leads had chemistry, (more so after he found out she wasn't his sister, lol).
I liked the tropical and inviting theme of this drama, I loved the storyline and situations. From episode one till the end I related with the female lead and didn't find her acting "stiff" at all, it was actually quite realistic. She was kind and brave. The male lead was kind and manly. Though, he was a little rough with her when he thought she betrayed him (very mild compared to most Thai dramas), he still wasn't annoying.
The music wasn't too memorable but not bad either.
There were quite a few episodes with people needing to go to the hospital from fainting , lol.
Overall, I really enjoyed it and would probably watch it again in the future.
P. S. At times you can see the main lead's sweat coming through his shirt. Lol.
Desperation Road (2023)
"I got to believe we can be forgiven."
Just like this movie, I'll start my review with the bad and end it with the good.
It was a little too mature for me. Some scenes were very uncomfortable to watch (though, I understand why they put them in). There were a lot of f-bombs dropped, and at times I was tempted to skip scenes because the movie was a bit slow.
Now for the good! The main message is about forgiveness and hope. It shows the horrible trials many people go through and the pain of causing someone else hurt. I also liked the scenes with Maben and Russell, call me a hopeless (or should I say hopeful) romantic, but I couldn't get enough of them. I liked how sweet Russell was with Annalee. There was a scene, short but so meaningful, where Annalee gets up and climbs on to Russell's lap, and he holds her close. *teary eyes*
Back to Maben and Russell, I really wanted a kiss. Even just one on the cheek. *sigh*
But I can't complain about the ending they gave. The narration was meaningful and overall, it was like the light after a storm.
"Low light."
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (2003)
Exciting
Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time is an exciting game full of adventure.
When I was a child, my brother would let me play this every Sunday. It was very enjoyable even if I was a bit scared of the bad guys.
June's Journey (2017)
Enchanting
I thoroughly enjoy playing June's Journey. The hidden-mystery-rooms are always enchanting and beautifuly animated, the characters are intresting, the island is enjoyable to decorate, and the mysteries are intriguing. Plus, I like that I don't have to do those annoying jewl games to get energy.
Reksio (1967)
Lovely
Reksio is a very charming show. It has cute episodes that are short and humorous. I remember watching this with my Mom.
I love the animals, the art and especially the adorable little Polish doggy.
All together a very pleasant watch. :)
Famous 5: On the Case (2008)
Doesn't deserve the low rating.
This show was one of my favorites growing up, which is why it surprises me that it has such a low rating. It's filled with mysteries that kept me guessing, even after the 100th time I watched an episode, jokes that still make me laugh when I see them now, characters that are relatable and animations simple yet engrossing.
If you love mysteries, comedy, friendship, dogs and a boy eating an onion, then this is the show for you! :)
The Little Mermaid (2018)
Look at it through a child's eyes.
Pros:
- Wholesome
- Good Morals
- Scenery and Sets are Visually Beautiful
- Soft Romance (age-appropriate)
Cons:
- Low-budget acting
- Low-budget scripts
Watching it as a young adult gave me a few laughs at it being quite low-budget. But then I thought what it would be like if was a little girl again. If I was, I think this movie might have been one of my favorite movies growing up, which is saying a lot, being that Disney's Little Mermaid movie was one of my least favorite Dysney princess films.
I think sometimes the same movie that's is mocked or over looked by an adult may be beautiful in a child's eyes. If that movie was aimed for children (without any hidden agendas) and children like it then it was well made.
