Helene (2020)was a biographical romantic drama for a film based on a biography of the same name written by Rakel Liehu, directed by Antti J. Jokinen and starring Laura Birn as Helene Schjerfbeck. The film which was nominated for an award in the feature-length category at the Shanghai International Film Festival.
The 2003 biographical novel Helene by Rakel Liehu was a critical and commercial success, and won the 2004 Runeberg Prize.
