Modern days, Olbia. Laura, a young girl in her 20s, comes back home after living abroad by herself for 10 years. She left under her own accord without the blessing of her family as the traditional rural life-style didn't fit her fantasies of becoming a more "modern" citizen of the world. About a decade after she is forced to come back because she gets tangled up in a drug-based network and cannot finance herself anymore. Home is not what she expected, her mother has died and her father has a young helper on the farm, Matteo. Laura and the boy becomes friends and this relationship changes her view about her home.
