Better than you'd think, but still not all that impressive.
Amazon-owned IMDb wants you and I to watch this show. Okay.
Show is 80% Gen Z slang and references to things only always-online kids will understand. Social media, influencers, fashion brands, and other things like that. The show doesn't take itself too seriously and pokes fun at how fleeting trends are, but also banks on viewers being aware of current trends. Talk about a mixed message. Needless to say, it will ultimately age like milk and be thrown away by next year. Even watching it as someone who knows what they're referencing and parodying, this is pretty lukewarm stuff. None of the "jokes" really landed.
Tl;dr: "Not funny, didn't laugh" (if you're in the market for new writers Fairfax showrunners, I'm available).
The other 20% of the show is actual character stuff, which is interspersed between basic adult cartoon plots. Random, unstructured bits of fantasy, surrealism, gross-out, teen drama/comedy litter the episodes. No unifying style. Just whatever they want to do for a quick gag that episode. The main cast actually does have personalities and quirks that aren't just "sitcom Gen Z child #1," so that's nice. Not a high bar to clear, but considering how terrible the show looks/sounds on paper, I'm giving them points for trying.
Animation is what you'd expect from a cheap cartoon. That's all I'll say on that topic.
Between the flood of 18-year-olds saying this is a work of art because some famous person they know voice acts in it and 50-year-olds giving this a 1/10 because they don't understand what's going on, the level-headed will recognize Fairfax for what it is: pandering to a specific demographic. It's totally harmless streaming service fodder. I'm sure the people working on this care about their work, but I hope they're not banking on this lasting very long.

Another half a** attempt at an adult cartoon
First I would say this might be funny to high school or college age kids but nobody over 30 is going to think this is funny or witty
I understand the satire of the comedy but it just seems lacking maybe its my age But I could only make it through half the series then got bored with it.
More hits than misses
The characters and dialogues in #Fairfax are caricatures of today's social climate, which will please both millennials and Gen-Z'ers. A clever and hilarious first half makes place for a lazy second half, to end with a lit Billy "Wonka" Porter adventure. Bring on season 2!

Uhh nope!
May be enjoyable for people that are under the age of 20 but after two episodes I couldn't take anymore. Nothing necessarily unique, witty or clever about this cartoon.
I'll pass!
I'll pass!
Sad attempt
As someone else described it, it's a sad attempt at "adult" comedy, animated, with characters who are supposed to be teenagers. Lots of foul language, which is supposed to be trendy among kids; done for (attempted) sick value.
Waste of time.
Waste of time.
Just try it out
This series has alot of situational comedy.
It makes fun of the New Generation while being in the know. Probably told by someone who grew up in the 90s.
What I love about this series is each episode is about 25 Minutes but there is soo much stuff going on it captures your attention. If you have adhd one could easily be distracted but since there is so much going on it keeps the viewer intune with the series. Who ever made this show has alot of attention to detail and knows how to package something to the audience.
Honestly the story line isnt that great but i think the presentation was better than expected. Id give it a solid 7.

Tried too hard to be fresh.
I'll give this show credit: a lot of thing feel culturally relevant, like the kind of things that are trending. It's easy to see how the show prides itself in using satire to make fun of fresh cultural trends. Meanwhile, so much it still insists on plastering every episode with obnoxiously woke dialog. You know what I mean: someone makes some preachy comment under their breath. Stuff like "HOLY AOC"..... it's intolerable. There's a lot of "dialog with a woke comment" with an air of (secretly everyone should talk like this) that needs to just stop. There's a few chuckles peppered throughout the series but for the most part, but the truth is that everyone would hate a person who talks like characters in this show do.

Ignore low reviews, it's cool.
Not sure why other reviews are hating this so much. Ive seen many diff adult animations, we all have our own tastes I guess but this is very chill, easy to view and is ironic. Literally takes mainstream and clout to the extreme, it had me chuckling in some parts for sure. Visually this is great, Chernobyl festival ep is the best by far. Very ironic and over dramatic. Good VAs. Isn't super intense. If u like bobs burgers and that kinda vibe you'll like this so give it a go and don't write it off completely due to low reviews. This isn't the kinda show to be compared to Rick and Morty. It's over dramatic, ironic yet has an enjoyable nativity to it held by the main characters outlook and character.

a satire of the present!
This is a place where people go after popular and branded things: Fairfax. Just like today isn't it? Just slip it on a garbage-looking shoe. Giving $70 to a brand? We have to stop chasing the popular and be ourselves.
To be honest, the fairfax production doesn't have perfect humor. I don't even remember laughing while watching it. But the message inside is very deep, my friend. You are literally watching yourself. It could have been a much better production, I have expectations for the second season! I can't say watch it for sure, but I recommend it if you have free time!

Whyyy JB? Whhhyyy??
Seriously, this is absolutely nauseating! When I saw JB Smoove was a voice actor, I was stoked cause I figured it had to be quality, but no! In fact it's, well tbh the best way to explain how trite and clichéd it is EVEN in its attempt to be satirical of being trite and cliché, is to watch the pilot-I mean, judge for yourself but be forewarned.
This is fun for adults!
Cheap animation. But it dosent mather. This is funny. Just the litle things. The trippy coloring. Very enjoyable entertainment And am'n oldass man! All love.
Better than I thought
I saw this advertised and assumed that it would be a lame corporate attempt to appeal to younger generations. It was actually better than that. It hit the mark enough times for it to be funny and engaging. The only caveat is, the audience it will appeal to is a small segment who appreciate the cultural references, and aren't put off by the numerous hypocrisies and moral questions surrounding potential promotion of superficiality.

Absolute garbage
I made it some 10 minutes to the pilot before just simply going nope. Unfunny poorly done kid cartoon done for adults(?) - nothing works and any sane person would just see it for what it is. I sort of understand what they were going for but oh boy, did it go awfully wrong indeed.

No matter what race you are, you will cringe hard at this terrible show.
I don't like to write a review without watching at least a couple episodes, but I just couldn't do it, It took me three hours to watch the first episode, because that's how bad it was. The best way I can describe this is imagine if a 13 year old homeschooled kid who's only form of interaction with other people was via the internet, was hired to make an "adult" comedy about middle school kids. I'm pretty sure this garbage show is what you would get.

Should be called WTF! Because it sucks really bad & it's all about 'Woke Tween Friends'
I will reiterate; this cartoon is terrible! Not one iota of originality can be found in this sh¡t-show. At the time of this post Fairfax has a wicked low rating of 4.5. That alone should be a clue to anyone who's thinking of watching this series.
After watching 2 1/2 episodes of this cartoon I had to watch a few episodes of Rick & Morty to put me in the right frame of mind to do this review properly.
The show's target audience is the mainstream mindset, pop culture fanatics and people who tend to be sheeple. So, I guess materialistic teenagers, as well as teens who are starving for attention, would find Fairfax appealing. Way to go Amazon! Just what society needs right now...more cheesy sh¡t to stroke the desires of the masses.

Actually hilarious
The first episode doesn't quite cut, but other than that, maybe it's just because it's my generation, but I totally get this series. It's hilariously written, the actors all do a great job. My only problem is, that I keep expecting more from Glenn and Quattro, they could be so much more savage. The lingo is on point though, the jokes are hitting and the series is devastatingly honest and current. My boyfriend and I didn't get a better laugh on amazon all year.

It's ok but that's it.
The humour is there but it's around topics that make people roll their eyes, it's hard to root for people that you just don't relate to in any way, it's easy to argue that it's jokes around current trends or people so they are laughing at themselves and that makes it all ok because we are all inclusive but that's not comedy, it's just another make it loud and full of references show that tickles it's own ego. Lots of shows do this but just like an comedian and a normal person, they can say the same joke but only one will make you laugh.

Great satire
My husband and I teach middle schoolers and this is just how they are so this was hilarious. Don't take it serious and find the humor in it, or else you will cry at what the next generation has become.

Don't expect anything
Just don't expect anything and it gives you some enjoyable time while resting. No need to dive deep or give any toughts. Like roasted chickpea cheap but enjoyable if you are in the right mind :D.
Couldn't make it beyond the pilot
I wonder how the show got greenlit after such an average pilot. Amazon is trying to create a phenomenon like Rick and Morty and throwing whatever they can against the wall.

Don't understand the hate...
It's not just for young'ns... I'm 47 and love this show! It's hilarious...dumb, fun, smart humor. So many sharp references. I love the way it glamorizes and skewers social media "drop" culture at the same time. I think it's great social commentary with snarky pop culture one liners. Very enjoyable!
Utter trash
Please don't waste your time - this is painful to watch. I can't think of a cartoon worse than this. Who is making this tripe and what's the target audience?!

The substance of a meme and half the depth
While no doubt accurately mirroring the habits of preteen privilege, the dialogue is written with all the depth and complexity of a 6th grade writing assignment. Character development is nonexistent as the show flits from cliche to cliche like an ADHD themed TikTok channel. Scoring in the dregs on both entertainment value and substance, some viewers are sure to make it through the first or even second episode provided they have something better to do distracting them from the show playing in the background.
