Legend of the Naked Ghost (2017)
** 1/2 (out of 4)
A group of college students agree to go to a haunted mansion with their professor as well as a psychic (Candy Lucas) in order to see if the ghost of a former actress (Jasmine Leo) is really there.
Jim Wynorski is one of the kings of "B" movies. He started off working with Roger Corman and I'd say he has become better than anyone else out there when it comes to turning out these types of low-budget movies. He's worked in just about every genre you can think of including countless sexploitation pictures, which is where this falls into play. I found this on Amazon, watched it and enjoyed it for what it was but then I learned that this here is just a shortened version of SCARED TOPLESS.
With that in mind, you'll probably want to check out the full version but in case you don't want to spend much time with it then you can turn to this version, which is actually less than forty-minutes. For some strange reason this here is just a small portion of the film but after the main credits you are treated to the "lost movie of Gail Evelyn" (the actress in the movie) but this scene appears at the start of SCARED TOPLESS.
Whatever you decide to do, LEGEND OF THE NAKED GHOST certainly isn't a masterpiece but it's a nice little sexploitation film. Yes, the type that comes on the likes of Showtime at three in the morning. If you're familiar with the work of Wynorski then you know he loves to cast beautiful, big-breasted women and that's exactly what we get here. A lot of the simulated sex is missing here but there's still plenty of nudity on display and the cast is fun for what they're asked to do.
As I said, I watched this before SCARED TOPLESS so some might want to avoid this all together due to it basically being a chopped down version of a film that is available out there in its complete form.
