Throughout the seasons there are episodes of gun fights, and fist fights. Travelers who come from the future to enter the bodies as hosts are shown as having a brain hemorrhage prior to being taken over by future people. There are scenes where someone is knocked down by a truck, and other people are killed with a sniper. Average violence.

S1- There is a heroin addict who is one of the protagonists. He straps his arm up and injects heroin into his vains using needles. One or two scenes show him cooking heroin using a spoon. He is put on medication (pills) to take the addiction down a level.
S1: Alcohol is shown infrequently. A man who is drunk comes home and assaults his wife.
S2: Alcohol and Drug usage is shown throughout. Memory erasing drugs are used. Season 2 is not as bad as S1, it is milder.

Throughout the episodes and seasons, children are used to relay messages from the future to present day people. It would seem they are possessed when delivering the messages, but they are being used as messengers. May seem frightening for some viewers.
