Unlike the dramatic movie version of events - Foxcatcher (2014) - although this documentary is full of archival footage of du Pont, Dave Shultz, the team, and the rise and fall of Team Foxcatcher and the Training Farm, it contains no mention of Dave's brother and fellow Foxcatcher team member, Mark Shultz. Both brothers feature prominently in the dramatic film.
Conversely, the dramatic film Foxcatcher (2014) contains no mention of Valentin Yordanov, the Bulgarian wrestler who was a prominent member of Team Foxcatcher, and was chosen by John E. du Pont as his heir.
John du Pont was the only member of the Forbes 400 richest Americans ever to be convicted of murder.
In 1997, Schultz was posthumously inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member.
After Schultz's murder, his widow founded the Dave Schultz Wrestling Club in March 1996 to sponsor the stranded wrestlers through the Olympics.
