Chen reveals there is a being known as the Traveler from hundreds of years in the future, and Chen's consciousness from different timelines was fused. This plot aligns with Travelers (2016) where a "Director" hundreds of years in the future sends the consciousness of people from that time into the bodies of 21st century people, who are called Travelers with a unique number. Several recurring actors from this series appeared in that one, such as Ian Tracey, Jennifer Spence, and Stephen Lobo.

Goofs
When Chen appears at the gazebo Kiera tucks her gun into the back of her waistband but immediately afterwards her coat is fastened and her arms are folded. There is no way she could have done this in the time it appears on screen.
