Two days after the broadcast of this episode, producer/writer Jamie Rix was a guest on Episode #1.97 (1987), along with Nick Wilton and Helen Lederer. The trio answered questions about the series, and about the nature of so-termed "alternative comedy", while responding to critics of the show.

One of the critics was Daily Mail journalist Mary Kenny, who derided the form as a whole. Perhaps amusingly, Mary gave examples of language she didn't like in comedy as "asshole" and "bullshit", unwittingly using bad language in a show broadcast before the watershed.

Goofs
During the "Roboscientist" sketch, Nick Wilton says "three minutes", before correcting himself and changing it to "three seconds". He also appears to be on the verge of laughing during the skit.
