Hell on Earth (2013)
*** (out of 4)
This 10-minute interview with Alan Howarth can be found on the Shout Factory! release of John Carpenter's PRINCE OF DARKNESS. Howarth talks about how he had been working with Carpenter for around seven years by the time this film came along and he goes into great detail about what their working relationship was like. If you've got any of these Shout Factory! discs then you know Howarth tells quite a few interesting stories when it comes to his work on various Carpenter movies. This here is no exception as the composer really gives you a grand idea of what their working relationship was and how they managed to work on the score as the editing process went along. Fans of the film will certainly be happy with this interview as it helps explain certain aspects of the score.
