While this was a horrible thing to happen the Animal Place group does not accurately portray the facts.

For example the birds do not clump (pile) due to being in cages previously. All chickens pile due to many reasons. For example they typically pile due to being cold. That could have been avoided with proper poultry care that was not given on the part of Animal Place. 1-2 trained farm workers could have properly cared for these birds. Those watching should take their opinions and facts presented with a grain of salt.

Animal Place also did not meet the regulations required for caring for these birds. Perhaps they should have been investigated and received the consequences for their part in breaking the law and animal neglect.

I by no means approve of the owners treatment of these chickens and completely agree that he should have gone to jail.
