Like previous MHA movies, it works like midquel that does not impact the main story in any major way and honestly even though now there is a big demand for manga arcs to be adapted into films I still love these kinds of stories are being released, living their own bubble of the fictional world, reminds me of old DBZ films.
Animation was top notch, main villain and other new charcters were interesting. Film also carries that feel-good Message and atmosphere that We all need. I would recommend it to all MHA fans out there and especially since the story has ended in the manga and will soon End in the anime as well to remind of the series' Best features.
It is no the type of film that is groudbreaking or offers something New to the story as a whole but it is a fun and fulfilling experience with the characters We love.

With "All Might" having lost most of his powers and now taken a back seat, it falls to the students of class 1A of the academy to do the policing of the undesirables in society and use their adaptable array of quirks to deliver these miscreants to the authorities. Then suddenly, out of nowhere, there appears a serious challenge to their regime when "Dark Might" emerges bent of replacing his august predecessor and imposing his own form of rule on a Japan he considers a pale imitation of it's former self. He is not without his own powerful hench-folk, and unwittingly one of those is the powerful "Anna" who can augment and corrupt the powers of others and whilst under an hypnotic spell be used to make this new oppressor nigh on unstoppable. It's down to the determined "Deku" and his new found ally "Giulio" to galvanise his nimble friends and find a way to thwart this monster before his city-sized aerial fort destroys their school, "All Might" and all that they stand for. It's a bit on the long side this, but there's still a solid story of good vs. Evil underpinned by plenty of animated combat action, some great smashes - "Manchester" and "Torino" maybe being a little more potent than "Grape Juice" and some effort has been made to imbue the characters with a little more personality as we discover more about who both their nemesis and the manipulated "Anna" actually are. It can be a bit repetitive at times and it has a couple of goes at concluding, but I still quite enjoyed it.

As Deku and the rest of Class A round up the jailbreak villains, they encounter someone who has taken it upon himself to call himself the next All Might and symbol of peace. While he might look like All Might, his actions do not align with what All Might stands for. Class A must stop the imposter All Might, save the hostage he uses to power his quirk and save UA from destruction.
This anime movie is a complete filler. It is jam-packed with action, amazing animation, and everything fans of the series have come to love. Conversely, the story does not progress or truly connect to the main storyline. It occurs at some point in the main storyline but does not give the audience the exact moment. With one hour and fifty-eight minutes runtime, some parts drag on, and some could be removed to streamline the experience. This movie is entertaining for diehard fans but worth watching and streaming instead of going to the theaters.

Iconic. We loved this movie. From start to end there was action and thrilling scenes. I think this movie is especially created for the fans of the franchise and the people that have watched My Hero Academia from the start.
It was really nostalgic to see all the characters and even the new ones such as Giulio were memorable and so much fun to see on screen. This film is packed with action and romance in a special way. You can tell a lot of effort and love went into the animation and creation of this piece. We enjoyed every second of the movie, however, I believe, if you haven't watched the anime, this movie could be slightly confusing. All in all, it was such a nice experience!

As every Boku no Hero movie, the movie has no impact on the storyline, and there is no character growth or new abilities.
Quite a few of the scenes felt rushed, and the overall plot felt mediocre.
With the big cast that is Class 1A, no character received a proper moment in the spotlight.
Most importantly Deku's actions within the movie felt extremely bland. He just seemed like every 4 year old kid with a hero complex wanting to save the princess, no matter the repurcussions.
The side character Guillio is interesting, but the only note-worthy aspect of the movie.
Overall I consider the movie garbage and don't recommend people to go out of their way to watch it in the theaters.

Previously to this film, the second movie of My Hero Academia was my favorite in the franchise, but without a doubt this fourth entry is my new favorite movie in the series, and also I'd include it in my Top10 of Anime TV series Tie-in Movies. The film is action-packed from the beginning to the end, with a great balance of having the whole cast of heroes a moment to shine, moreover the villain team for the movie is visually striking and interesting to watch. The level of animation is truly great. The intro song is really good too. I'm greatly pleased with my experience watching the anime film.

I'm usually not hard on anime movies since they are filler, but man this wasn't it. 'My Hero Academia: You're Next' is a filler movie for class 1A. The animation was solid, and the students stay true to their hero code, but the story was bland, predictable, and way too corny. After that poor season finale I needed a good My Hero movie before they drop the final season and this was just too corny. The fights were decent and I admire how the hero's make sure the civilians are safe, but honestly I never felt any danger throughout the whole film. Lack of emotion too. Overall, extremely disappointed in My Hero as of lately.

I loved this movie i paid for the tickets in advance and this movie did not disappoint! The animation was incredible, I got chills in the last fight, it was so fun to watch and I can't wait to watch this again. I watch the anime so I'm invested in the characters but I think this would still be enjoyable to watch as is. Just when you think movie ideas are run out of, they create this ride for fans. I'm incredibly thankful to all creators and animators for this special treat. I came and made an account on imdb just to show my gratitude and review. Can't wait for the last season and hopefully another movie!

Me and my gf went to see it for Thursday previews. The movie for me,as a fan,was amazing. For my gf who has fallen out of the loop for MHA, she was somewhat confused. If you love MHA you will enjoy,if you don't really enjoy it,or are a more casual viewer, expect extravagant animation, and not much else. The story feels rushed and dragged depending on the scene, and the final act drags on a bit much, but it is saved by AMAZING 100/10 animation for the final fights. Please if you're a fan and can,go see it. Animation quality was mindblowing, even in the current age of anime like JJK and KnY.
Pros: Good quality animation Amazing final fights(there are several standouts) Side characters are hit or miss, but fun nonetheless Good runtime, even if pacing is wonky, definitely worth the money.
The score and audio are insanely good.
Not as reliant on fanservice as the other films,so easier to take in as it's own project.
Dark Might is handled great imo
Cons: Subpar story, with pacing all over the place, but very normal for anime tie ins tbh Despite getting more time than the actual cast of MHA,the original characters all still underdeveloped sadly 3rd act drags especially hard, but is still saved by fantastic animation Side villains aren't handled as well as Dark Might
Biased rating,a 10. Genuine rating, more around an 8. Still a must watch for fans, but not for more casual viewers.

I thoroughly enjoyed the movie as it delivered exactly what I was looking for-fun, excitement, and impressive animation. Contrary to what some might expect, it makes sense that My Hero Academia movies aren't focused on character development for the main characters, as they fit between the anime arcs. The newly introduced characters in this film were interesting and fit well into the story, adding depth without overshadowing the main cast. The movie is visually stunning, with well-executed fight choreography, and I always appreciate the MHA soundtrack. Overall, it's a thrilling experience, and for me, a solid 9/10."

This film was an all rounder, and checked every box for me. It was action packed, emotional, funny and stayed fresh and interesting the whole time. The new characters introduced were miles more interesting than the ones from the last films, and I was always pleased when they were on screen. No one character got a lot of spotlight, with I think is good. There was shared action and fighting between a lot of the cast. As always with these films, I thought the animation was spectacular. However, this one's was certainly my favourite. It was stunning and vibrant to say the least.
I have no idea why this film is currently rated the least out of the 4 films. It definitely deserves a better rating, and I'm sure it'll be worth anyone's time. This film was great.

A lot of filmmakers have been eating crow lately. An obvious result that was Destin to occur after they made the fatal error of making a film with a villainous symbol that actively appeals to real people. They do this because they think it's right. They're wrong. They reach out, giving real aggressors a symbol to worship instead of one to hate. This in turn only serves to empower the people watching in the wrong way. We have just seen The Boys' Showrunner Eric Kripke throw his own series under the bus because he accidentally made his version of Homelander an empowering symbol. This is a filmmaking failure.
Most recently, Todd Phillips's Joker film series ran into the exact same problem. And now the sequel film is set to burn down both the reputation gained and the profit garnered by the first installment. This too is a filmmaker failure.
These filmmakers create symbolic characters they want the audience to despise, and so they fall at the first hurdle of storytelling. The same cannot be said for the My Hero Academia team though. They passed that test with literal flying colours. The villain is a villain. There is no way around it. He is perfectly loathsome and is guaranteed never to become the symbol of peace the lunatic believes he is in the hearts and minds of the real-life audience. No retcons here. Horikoshi and co won. The messages are out there, and we're delivered in a thrilling manner.
This film doesn't just look wonderful; it sounds wonderful too. If you can, watch it on the biggest screen you can because My Hero Academia: You're Next was clearly created from the ground up to be a theatrical experience that pushes cinematic animation to a whole new technical level.

Just Got out of a Screening of My Hero Academia: You're Next
Wow what a Fantastic Concept. I've Never Watched this Series Before.
Things I Liked About the Film -
🌐 & 🙋 - The World Building Here is Phenomenal with all of these Character Designs. Literally EVERY SINGLE character has some Weird or Unique Design & Some Strange Quirk (Superpower). Design Wise - There's Nothing Mediocre in this World.
📜 - The Plotline was Really Interesting, with this Guy Admiring & impersonating another Superhero called All Might(I'm guessing he's the most Powerful Superhero in this Universe), and trying to Mimic his Values but in turn going about it the completely wrong way. And Groups of other Superheroes trying to stop him.
🌟 - The Villain - "Dark Might" was a Key component of why this film was so good to watch. He really did Carry a lot of the Film with his Performance.
💐 🍾 - The visuals were Stunning at Times, especially that floating Ship Scene, the Colours were Popping all over the place.
A Negative of the film -
😑 - The Ending Climactic Battle was Only Ok. That's not good enough.
Overall, a Great Time at the Cinema.
