The location in the film wasn't the first choice of Cordero, but it was another location that was evicted. Cordero chose to mantain the name in the second and final location in honor to the first.
The voice on the radio of the sports broadcast that is heard throughout the movie and during the soccer games, is real life sports analyst and ecuadorian sports news anchor Diego Arcos.
