Jennifer Lopez is reflecting on the decision to cancel her summer tour earlier this year.
In a new interview, the “Let’s Get Loud” singer opened up about what motivated her to pull the plug on the tour.
“I was so devastated to let anybody down, but I just needed to be with my kids and myself and really dig down deep into things that were happening in my life,” Lopez told Nikki Glaser for Interview magazine. “And I’m glad I did, because it was a really difficult time for me. Probably the hardest time of my life, but it was also the best time because I got to do that work on myself.”
Lopez acknowledged that her fan base was supportive of her decision, saying, “I have the most understanding and loving fans in the world. Some fan bases can be spicy. Mine are just a bunch of lovers.

Funny Story has become the latest Emily Henry novel to get a feature film adaptation deal, and the author herself will adapt the book for the big screen.
Henry will write the script of her latest novel, which was published April 23 by Public Random House. Funny Story marks Henry’s fifth romantic comedy book in four years.
The story follows children’s librarian Daphne, who has just been broken up with by her fiancé Peter, who quickly moved on to his childhood best friend, Petra. Forced out of their living situation, Daphne takes up residence with Miles, Petra’s ex-boyfriend. The pair hatch a fake dating scheme to make their exes jealous at the wedding, but as with the popular trope, the pair’s shared desire for revenge could spark a whole new flame.

Exclusive: We hear that Netflix has optioned the YA novel Happy Place by Emily Henry for Jennifer Lopez’s Nuyorican. Plans to adapt the novel as a series are underway and I understand producers and streaming executives are currently meeting with writers.
The news follows as Lopez’s Netflix movie Atlas clears 72.7M global views, another high for the actress and producer after her 2023 movie with the streamer, The Mother, which is the ninth most watched movie on Netflix with 136.4M. The multihyphenate’s Nuyorican Productions inked a multi-year first-look deal with Netflix spanning feature films, TV series and unscripted content back in 2021, with an emphasis on projects that support diverse female actors, writers and filmmakers.
Henry is a No. 1 New York Times and No. 1 Sunday Times whose novels include Book Lovers, People We Meet on Vacation, and Beach Read.

Amy Winehouse‘s latest biopic may have been approved by her estate and it may have also boosted her ‘Back to Black’ album, fans are not amused by it. Many called it “revolting,” claiming that the producers only wanted to “exploit” and “sensationalize” her story for their own pockets.
Fans of Amy may remember that she’d already had a major falling out with her father prior to her untimely death due to alcohol overdose, but they’re still not happy with the way the movie handled both her relationship with her father and her legacy with the press.

Spoiler Alert: This article contains spoilers for Yulin Kuang’s new novel “How to End a Love Story,” which was released April 9.
Yulin Kuang was deep into her romance-novel era before she released her own first attempt at the genre, “How to End a Love Story,” last month. The debut author, who has thus far spent her career focused on TV and film writing, actually started penning her book while in the middle of adapting two rom-coms by best-selling author Emily Henry: “Beach Read” (which Kuang will also direct) and “People We Meet on Vacation.”
“How to End a Love Story” follows the straight-laced, successful author Helen and charming former jock Grant, who fall in love while working together in a TV writers’ room that is adapting Helen’s YA book series. And despite the book’s title and the dark high-school history Helen and Grant share surrounding Helen...
