A racist movie. In a society that is racist behind the curtain of the white wash. A black woman is lonely in a lost village. The village seems inhabited almost entirely by white men. Most of the men are rich. And the black woman is very interested in money, yet she has one of the losers. Of course she is very sexual, but she was smart enough to pick a magic village, one that has only color blind people.
A state paid movie. Meaning the whole art is in the description. The movement is slow. There are moments where nothing happens, often. Yet the movie is wordy and people talk. In fact, there is not much dialogue in here, just bla bla bla. Also there is an excess of characters. The production team does not pay with its own money, so this is a good time to offer a job to any wannabe just in case he really makes it.
Also the image is the one the state workers want to promote. There is no excess consumption of alcohol. All men are friendly and nobody wants to take advantage of the black woman who keeps showing her body in the sun. Even the cops are gentlemen and take their time to explain things calmly.
The characters are lifeless. The black woman is very coquette. Like the stereotype goes. And she is poor. Also like the stereotype. She is surrounded by men in hot cars wanting her company, yet she carelessly rolls on a heavy city bicycle. Which she dumps, and never chains. And, like Cinderella's carriage, there are no scratches and nobody steals it. Her husband is not only poor, he is dirty and unkempt. sure, it makes perfect sense.
And rest assured, as any badly done mystery movie, facts are hidden only to have the bad guy explain his plan in the end.
