Anime fans are known to compare their favorite anime series and their characters to find out the superior among them. A similar competition was recently held on Instagram where male characters from many prominent anime series were nominated to figure out who was the most handsome anime face of 2024. The winner was selected by the fans’ vote, and the results were startling.

In a shocking turn of events, this competition was won by none other than Sasuke Uchiha from Masashi Kishimoto’s Naruto. Sasuke is one of the most important characters in the series, and even though he was an anti-hero, he had a cult following that is ever-growing to this day. Not only that, some fans even consider that he would have been a better protagonist than Naruto.

Tensions are high with Kagurabachi and the race between four major studios that want the rights to animate the masterpiece. Takeru Hokazono has truly made it when studios can’t even decide who should take this incredible dark fantasy anime. Kagurabachi, however, doesn’t need a major studio to animate it to have the best adaptation possible. It requires a studio that can match its vibe accurately and not ruin it with unnecessary changes that would make Kagurabachi lose its essence.

The case with several popular anime that major studios animate is that they are treated as cash grabs or their employees are overworked and exploited. Mappa is notorious for this with its million of projects. Toei Animation, while they do a brilliant job of animating One Piece, drag out the scenes to milk the anime. CloverWorks Took On Wind Breaker’s Anime to Avoid Being Stereotyped as an Animation Studio for Girls
CloverWorks is an animation studio, better known for its romantic comedies with gorgeous animation and amazing storylines. From Horimiya and the quirky Spy x Family, they never fail to deliver a great story and memorable characters. While the studio is very much used to catering towards a female audience, they went beyond their comfort zone and decided to take on Wind Breaker. This anime involves a lot more fight scenes and a predominantly male cast than CloverWorks is used to animating but they were up for the challenge.

The studio seems determined to get rid of the perception that it’s an animation studio primarily catering for either gender too. By taking on Wind Breaker, CloverWorks is ready to tackle animating action and male characters but also to not box the anime into something catered to one gender. They want Wind Breaker to shine to any audience,...

Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers was a series that picked up fame rather quickly, becoming an underrated gem with an anime too that gathered a lovely fan following. However, as the story progressed, there seemed to be a decline in a way that had everyone revolting against the series. By the end of it, the manga became just another addition to good projects with bad endings.

With so many new series premiering in the Spring 2024 season, anime fans had much to look forward to. One of the more anticipated series, “Wind Breaker”, came in with significant hype surrounding it. Many fans proclaimed it was sure to be the next big gang-related series, much like the 2021 science fiction thriller “Tokyo Revengers”, but simply being similar to a popular series doesn't always guarantee a new show will be a hit once it debuts. While “Wind Breaker” more than delivered on things like its well-choreographed fight scenes and character designs, many other aspects left a lot to be desired, creating a show that, while exciting to watch, doesn't give the viewers much in terms of depth or significant character development until it starts becoming too late.
