American professional mixed martial artist Michael Chandler is making headlines for calling out Conor McGregor on the latest episode of WWE Monday Night Raw in Anaheim, California. This is not the first time McGregor has been challenged. New UFC featherweight champion Ilia Topuria challenged the Irishman during his UFC 298 post-fight interview.

McGregor has not appeared in any fights ever since he suffered a leg injury against Dustin Poirier in 2021 at UFC 264. Michael Chandler had also lost his last fight to Poirier at UFC 281 in 2022. Facing off against each other will give them both a chance to redeem themselves from their defeat to Poirier. Chandler has openly challenged McGregor to a fight.

This list is compiled with data from FlixPatrol, which tracks the daily top 10s in over 90 countries globally. Once upon a time, the knock on Netflix was its glaring lack of transparency, specifically when it came to sharing viewership data. In June 2021, Netflix first released its Weekly Top 10 lists, ostensibly to shut creators — and the press — up. Turns out, that only silenced the creators of its hit shows and movies.

Along with the glaring issues of AI and residuals, a lingering lack of overall transparency across streaming was a major topic this spring, summer, and fall during the writers and actors strikes. With those picket lines still closer than they appear in Netflix’s rearview mirror, the streaming leader is getting even more transparent-er(?).

On Tuesday, Netflix announced it would be opening its ledgers twice a year, sharing the hours viewed for any and every title that was streamed for at least 50,000 hours over six months. The threshold is a bit lower than that sounds.

Religion of Sports and Showtime Sports are teaming up on “Goliath,” a new three-part docuseries examining the life, career and impact of basketball icon Wilt Chamberlain from his emergence on the national scene as a high schooler in the 1950s through his death in 1999.

“We are honored to team up with this group of talented filmmakers to bring the under-examined story of Wilt Chamberlain’s complex life to the masses,” Showtime Sports president Stephen Espinoza said in a statement. “Everybody knows Wilt for his legendary accomplishments on the basketball court — scoring 100 points in a game, averaging 50 points and 25 rebounds in a season — but there’s so much more to him than his stats. He was far ahead of his time in so many ways that will last infinitely longer than the numbers on a scoreboard.”

Director Gotham Chopra worked with Netflix to create the four-episode series McGregor Forever, which follows mixed martial artist superstar Conor McGregor.

It showcases his career in the UFC and how his past fights have led to his success today. McGregor is at a point where he could retire soon, as the typical retirement age of a UFC fighter is around age 35, but he has no plans to do so. In an exclusive with uInterview, Chopra discusses McGregor’s success and how he will continue to fight past retirement age.

“Conor also has a work ethic that he’s willing to do the work and I’ve never been around him where he compromises on that, so I think there’s more fighting to be done,” Chopra said.

Part of the series’ success is due to the access they have to archives from the beginning of McGregor’s career.

The Netflix movie and TV series that have been dominating the streamer’s weekly viewing chart were both still atop the Top 10 chart for the week of May 15. Read on for this week’s analysis.

Jennifer Lopez‘s action-thriller “The Mother” burst into the weekly streaming chart last week, and it topped the English films list for a second week with 94.4 million hours viewed globally. That means the movie has been viewed by almost 90 million accounts, i.e. 178.1 million hours viewed divided by the movie’s 1.96 hour runtime. It remained in the Top 10 in 93 countries with many of those regions, including the U.S. and Canada, the #1 viewed movie.

The documentary “Anna Nicole Smith: You Don’t Know Me” also entered the charts in second place with 15.7 million hours viewed, followed by a number of non-Netflix films like Seth McFarlane‘s hit comedy “Ted,” Tom Hanks‘ “A Man Called Otto,” and the sci-fi thriller “Synchronic.

Directed by Niki Caro, Lopez’s “The Mother” hit the streamer on Friday and managed to rack up 83.7 million global viewing hours to top the English film chart over a number of non-Netflix movies. It was the #1 film in the U.S. and Canada, as well as 80 other countries, and it was in the top 10 in 93 countries total.

Tom Hanks‘ “A Man Called Otto” dropped to second place with 19.9 million hours viewed, followed by DreamWorks Animation’s 10-year-old animated film “The Croods” with 8.7 million hours viewed.

Mixed martial arts star Conor McGregor attempts to prove the skeptics wrong as he gears up for a comeback in the first full trailer for the forthcoming Netflix docuseries McGregor Forever.

The spot released Tuesday focuses on the Ultimate Fighting Championship standout’s attempt to return to fighting after suffering a broken leg during his UFC 264 loss to Dustin Poirier in July 2021. Netflix’s McGregor Forever will consist of four hour-long episodes.
