Lucy Fry loves to play magical beings. She plays a mermaid in Mako Mermaids (2013) and a vampire in Vampire Academy. In this series she plays an alien. She also plays a role in H2O: Just Add Water (2006) as a graduate from the school in the final episode. They used her real name for that part.
The show was originally called Alien Surf Girls, but this was changed to Lightning Point thinking that it would attract more viewers. In Germany its called Alien Surfgirls, and in Denmark its called Alien Surfer Girls.
Reece Milne (Liam) and Andrew J. Morley (Brandon) played roles on Home and Away, but not in the same episodes.
