Former Major Crimes and The Closer star Phillip Keene has signed with Link Entertainment. He was previously with Zero Gravity Management. Keene is best known for his role as Buzz Watson, the tech savvy member of the Lapd’s exclusive squad on TNT’s hit crime drama series The Closer and spinoff Major Crimes, which wrapped its six-season run in January. Keene next will return to the big screen as the male lead of the anticipated MarVista Entertainment thriller Deadly Shores, opposite Carly Schroeder. Keene remains with Raphael Berko and Ellen Drantch-Billet at Media Artists Group.
Australian actress Jessica Green, who can currently be seen in the lead role of Talon on the CW fantasy adventure series, The Outpost, has signed with Apa. Netflix has secured exclusive streaming rights to Chris Lilley.s Jonah from Tonga and the drama series Serangoon Road for its Australian and New Zealand service which launches March 28.
In a deal signed with ABC Commercial, Netflix gets non-exclusive rights to a slew of other ABC shows including Rake, Redfern Now, Upper Middle Bogan, The Time of Our Lives, Janet King, Jack Irish, Crownies and Australia: The Time Traveller's Guide.
The deal also covers Miss Fisher's Murder Mysteries (Australia only), Lilley.s Ja.mie: Private School Girl, Summer Heights High and We Can Be Heroes and kids shows Angelina Ballerina, Barney, Bob The Builder, Sesame Street, The Wiggles and Thomas the Tank Engine.

Vampire Academy's Lucy Fry has joined drug-trafficking drama The Preppie Connection.
The film will be directed by The War Within's Joe Castelo and chronicles a group of private school students who ran a drug ring during the early 1980s, Deadline reports.
Fry has been tapped to portray Alexis, the love interest of a drug dealer by the name of Toby.
A target release date for The Preppie Connection has yet to be announced.
Fry is best known for her prior roles in Mako Mermaids and the TV series Lightning Point.
The 22-year-old recently wrapped up filming on the movie 6 Miranda Drive with Kevin Bacon.

Reliance Entertainment and Im Global have announced that 'Modern Family' star Sarah Hyland has joined the cast of the new 'Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters' adaptation. The Mark Waters ('Mean Girls') helmed project is based on the series of Richelle Mead's young adult books and will be slipping right into that 'Twilight' shaped gap in the market. Hyland (below), who plays Haley Dunphy in the multli-award winning ABC comedy series 'Modern Family' and always reminds us of a young Mila Kunis, is set to play the role of Natalie, the best friend of the lead Rose and Lissa characters who'll be played by Zoey Deutch ('Beautiful Creatures') and Aussie actress Lucy Fry ('Lightning Point') respectively. Earlier in the year, it was announced that Mean Girls’ Mark Waters would be directing a film adaptation of the popular Ya book series Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead. Today, we’ve learned that Olga Kurylenko, of Oblivion fame, will play Kirova, the Academy’s headmistress.
Solid hire, and she joins Zoey Deutch (Ringer, Beautiful Creatures), Lucy Fry (Lightning Point), and Danila Kozlovski in the cast. If you know any of those three, you’ve got me beat. All three are name of the week nominees, however.
The series ”tell the tale of Rose Hathaway, a 17-year-old girl who has a mental and spiritual bond with her vampire best friend Lissa. The two girls attend a special school for Vampires who struggle to retain some humanity while other Vampires become more feral.” The first film is aiming for a Valentine’s Day, 2014 release.

'Max Payne' and 'Oblivion' star Olga Kurylenko (below) has joined the cast which is already at breaking point in the hottie department thanks to its two on board young leads Zoey Deutch ('Beautiful Creatures') and Aussie actress Lucy Fry ('Lightning Point'). The new feature entitled 'Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters' will be the first installment of a potential 6 movies if they manage to get the success and following for the project they hope for especially now as 'Twlight'-ers are actively seeking alternative options. With the genre already lacking in truly original ideas isn't it about time for someone to realise that the vampire subgenre in particular is spreading itself a little thin these days? As if there wasn't already a vamp literature adaptation overload with the likes of 'The Vampire Diaries' and the nauseating nonentity that is the 'Twilight' series but it seems another series of novels is about to be turned into the latest treat for young impressionable adults. Reliance Entertainment and Im Global are co-financing the big screen adaptation of Richelle Mead's 'Vampire Academy' and the delectable duo of Zoey Deutch ('Beautiful Creatures') and Aussie Lucy Fry ('Lightning Point') are set to star in the first installment 'Vampire Academy: Blood Sisters'. The movie is based on the first book in a series of 6 volumes but as to whether it has the legs for a full sextology.
