Parbat Pe Apna Dera

Parbat Pe Apna Dera is a romantic drama film directed by Late V. Shantaram and stars Late Vanmala, Late Ulhas, Late Madan Mohan, Late Shantarin and Late Kanta Kumari.

A Blind rich heiress meets a devout man who restores her eyesight, the man gives his celibate lifestyle when he falls in love and marries with the girl soon fells prey to his sexual urges seeking extra-marital quests.

The film was made pre-independence and it would be a little difficult to review on the making of the film as myself is not aware of the style of film making in that era however overall the film is nicely made with songs in regular intervals which was a trend in those time.

Acting in the film is good. Considering current time the film might look over dramatic but these type of acting were normal in those time. Songs were average to good and screenplay is average.

One should watch this film only if they are true fan of the legendary director V. Shantaram or if someone wanted to see how films were made in those era.
